It appears the White House has again twisted some arms to protect the czars. Anybody in our HOUSE ready to step up and start investigations of this WH in regards to un-Constitutional tactics? I really want to know what it is going to take for our HOUSE to get off the fence and start upholding their oath to protect and defend the Constitution.
Has anybody let the beltway bunch know that they are going down in history as a bunch of pantywaists?
NOW, can you believe our stupid congress confirmed this dipstick who thinks we should redistribute America’s wealth to other countries, (like we aren’t doing enough of that already? Anybody seen the embassy city complex built in Iraq?) Everybody needs to keep digging on these czars and continue to peel the onion.
JERUSALEM – It is “desirable” to redistribute America’s wealth to poorer nations, argued President Obama’s newly confirmed regulatory czar, Cass Sunstein.
According to Sunstein, global climate change is primarily the fault of U.S. environmental behavior and can, therefore, be used as a mechanism to redistribute the country’s wealth.
The argument bears striking resemblance to comments made by Obama’s former environmental adviser, Van Jones. WND reported Jones used a major environmental convention to argue for spreading America’s wealth.
Now WND has learned Sunstein made similar, more extensive arguments.
The Obama czar penned a 2007 University of Chicago Law School paper – obtained and reviewed by WND – in which he debated whether America should pay “justice” to the world by entering into a compensation agreement that would be a net financial loss for the U.S.
Sunstein heavily leans on the side of such an agreement, particularly a worldwide carbon tax that would heavily tariff the U.S.
A prominent theme throughout Sunstein’s 39-page paper, entitled “Climate Change Justice,” maintains U.S. wealth should be redistributed to poorer nations. He uses terms such as “distributive justice” several times. The paper was written with fellow attorney Eric A. Posner
“It is even possible that desirable redistribution is more likely to occur through climate change policy than otherwise, or to be accomplished more effectively through climate policy than through direct foreign aid,” wrote Sunstein.
He posited: “We agree that if the United States does spend a great deal on emissions reductions as part of an international agreement, and if the agreement does give particular help to disadvantaged people, considerations of distributive justice support its action, even if better redistributive mechanisms are imaginable.
“If the United States agrees to participate in a climate change agreement on terms that are not in the nation’s interest, but that help the world as a whole, there would be no reason for complaint, certainly if such participation is more helpful to poor nations than conventional foreign-aid alternatives,” he wrote.
Sunstein maintains: “If we care about social welfare, we should approve of a situation in which a wealthy nation is willing to engage in a degree of self-sacrifice when the world benefits more than that nation loses.”
This academic has got to go. He is living so far in his own head, and “my little pony world” that the term “fringe” could never do him justice.
Friends, most of you have already seen this video of Czar Special Green Jobs Advisor to the pResident, Van Jones calling Republicans A**holes, but here it is again:
As one of my readers, Kathy, has stated, “When you do not have an answer attack attack attack.”
I am a big believer in not underestimating so I am gonna guess he knows the proper answer and just does not want to say it. Isn’t it amazing that the liberals are so quick to jump to name-calling and diversion tactics?
In answer to Glenn Beck’s questions yesterday, I have a few of my own.
“How did they expect to get this agenda done without anybody saying or doing anything?” “What do they know that we don’t?” “Don’t they know they are about 20% of the population?”
As an aside, I will try to put something more meaty up today, but am dotting “i”s and crossing “t”s in preparation for next week’s march, so my posts may a bit sparse this week.
Glenn has stated that the White House called in the middle of his show yesterday to tell Glenn not to call the WH Czars; “czars”. Kids, we have completely understood what is happening to our country for quite some time, and now we have a reaction speaking to the nerve we are hitting.
I truly believe that Glenn has finally suspended his disbelief and “gets” how dangerous the times really are, and just exactly who and what the opponents are all about. I believe that he really understands how dangerous it is to speak out against this administration’s czars and policies, and how dark our futures will be if we are not able to slow down this leftist administration and congress’ policy shifts. I can hear it in Glenn’s voice.
Thank you Glenn Beck for waking up! Now it’s time to talk about the 9.12 March EVERY SINGLE DAY UNTIL 9.12 and until we Restore our Constitutional Republic! For those of you currently “suspending” and want to attend the 9.12 March, go here for more information.
I absolutely have to give credit where credit is due; Barack Obama has the standing Today’s Are You Freakin’ Kidding Me? Award for a continuation and growth of unconstitutional government.
Today, right on the heels of his “I need to grovel at the feet of the Middle Eastern Muslims as their slave” speech, the White House announces a new czar, which by the way, is completely unconstitutional; but I digress.
WASHINGTON — The Obama administration plans to appoint a “Special Master for Compensation” to ensure that companies receiving federal bailout funds are abiding by executive-pay guidelines, according to people familiar with the matter.
The administration is expected to name Kenneth Feinberg, who oversaw the federal government’s compensation fund for victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, to act as a pay czar for the Treasury Department, these people said.
Mr. Feinberg’s appointment could be announced as early as next week, when the administration is expected to release executive-compensation guidelines for firms receiving aid from the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program. Those companies, which include banks, insurers and auto makers, are subject to a host of compensation restrictions imposed by the Bush and Obama administrations and by Congress.
Anybody still thinking that this is Change We Can Believe In? Anybody still thinking that this is socialism? Does anybody think Selim I is going to stop with TARP recipients? Does anybody think that when he bails out the newspapers they are going to become anything other than the Pravda of USSR fame?
