Pawlenty Jumps On The Hoffman Train After Sarah Leads The Way

Redstate is reporting that Tim Pawlenty is now endorsing Doug Hoffman in the special race in NY-23.  Once again, Sarah is leading and Pawlenty is trying very hard not to look like he is following.

REDSTATE EXCLUSIVE: Tim Pawlenty Endorses Doug Hoffman

With polling now showing NY-23 has come down to a two man race between Hoffman and Owens, the Democrat, momentum is clearly in Hoffman’s favor.

Gov. Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota is now adding to the momentum becoming the first sitting Republican Governor to endorse Hoffman. This comes on the heels of Sarah Palin’s endorsement from last week.

What is more interesting though, and the reason Pawlenty most likely jumped onto this train is the following polling information from Hoffman’s own site.  I wonder if dinosaur Newt has figured it out yet, or is just trying to keep the Tea Partiers from messing up his next leadership attempt?

Hoffman Surges into Lead

New Club for Growth Poll

Washington – A poll released today by the Club for Growth shows Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman surging into the lead in the special election in New York’s 23rd congressional district to replace John McHugh, the former congressman who recently became Secretary of the Army.

The poll of 300 likely voters, conducted October 24-25, 2009, shows Conservative Doug Hoffman at 31.3%, Democrat Bill Owens at 27.0%, Republican Dede Scozzafava at 19.7%, and 22% undecided. The poll’s margin of error is +/- 5.66%. No information was provided about any of the candidates prior to the ballot question.

This is the third poll done for the Club for Growth in the NY-23 special election, and Doug Hoffman is the only candidate to show an increase in his support levels in each successive poll. The momentum in the race is clearly with Hoffman.

“Hoffman now has a wide lead among both Republicans and Independents, while Owens has a wide lead among Democrats. Dede Scozzafava’s support continues to collapse, making this essentially a two-candidate race between Hoffman and Owens in the final week,” concluded Basswood Research’s pollster Jon Lerner, who conducted the poll for the Club.

BREAKING NEWS: Sarah Palin’s New Political Group

BREAKING NEWS: Sarah Palin’s New Political Group

sarah-palin-thumbFor all those Sarah Palin fans out in the upside-down world of Bambi and Mishy where Americans apologize for breathing, and where if passed, you will be required to obtain a  healthcare plan through numerous outlets – one of which will be the DMV, AND we are letting the UN, Iran, and Russia walk all over us, some good news is coming out of the WSJ.  For those of you that believe that the woman pictured here is not going to be President someday, better start crying in your adult beverage of choice now.  And Olympia, yes, you are making history because that’s all it was ever about – right?  Unfortunately for you, there are real leaders and statesmen, and then there are history chasers.

Palin Plans New Political Group

Sarah Palin fans can expect to see a new Palin political organization surface as her memoir, “Going Rogue: An American Life,” hits the shelves next month.

“There will be an announcement about it coming up,” Palin associate Tim Crawford said Wednesday.

The New York Post reported this week that Palin’s new group will be called “Stand Up For Our Nation.” (News Corp. owns both the Post and The Wall Street Journal as well as HarperCollins Publishers, publisher of Palin’s book.) Crawford, who is treasurer of Palin’s existing political-action committee, SarahPAC, refused to provide any details about the new organization’s purpose or structure.

With a moniker like “Stand Up For Our Nation”, this move leaves little doubt that Sarah Palin is becoming a leader for the conservative movement, and I rather doubt she is going to sit on the sidelines in 2012.   Sarah Palin has exactly the humble beginnings and common sense so required by past great American Statesmen to keep our country safe, and move us forward.

Are y’all ready to watch the liberal left moonbat media start ripping on her again?  She’s going to eat them for breakfast.

(P.S. She ain’t crazy or stupid – don’t believe the hype.)

Today’s AYFKM? Award: Sarah Palin As Randy Weaver

Not only are we racists, we are assassins now and Sarah Palin is Randy Weaver; WTF?

Let me state for the record that I absolutely detest Barack Obama, not because of his skin color, but because he is consolidating power inside the executive branch at breathtaking speed, among numerous other negative qualities, two of which are his stunning lack of experience at anything except reading a teleprompter and knocking his opponents off the ballot.  What is happening right now with the labeling of protesters is that same “removal from the ballot” maneuver.

It is NOT his job to control these: T.A.R.P., The Banks, The Car Companies, Czars, The US Census, etc.  It is un-American to ask Americans to report each other to a White House email address.  It is un-American to gather information from government website visitors.  This man is not a leader and is not qualified to be POTUS.  I do not even have to go near the birther issue to make my case.  I will stick with the million bucks this guy has paid Perkins Coie to keep ALL of his records sealed.  That is enough proof for me that he is trying to hide something, and I and thousands of Americans want to know what that actual is.  I personally do not think wanting to know why he has spent all that money to keep his records sealed is a “radical” position, and it certainly is not backed up with any type of firearm; so Jean can just shut the hell up on that assassination point.

Now we get to listen to Jean Damu equate Sarah Palin with Randy Weaver of Ruby Ridge, and who seems to believe that we who protest the fascist policies of this administration want to assassinate him.  NOTHING could be farther from the truth.  I want to see Barack Obama, his wife, Howard Dean, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barney Frank, Henry Waxman and any other minion, including any traitorous republicans dragged from the White House and Capitol Hill IN HANDCUFFS after a full investigation to see what has actually occurred inside the White House and our government over the last 6 months!  I want cameras in the courtrooms of their traitor trials.  I want every single non-representative to uphold their oath to the Constitution and I want them to apologize to all of us everyday Americans for the insane name-calling!  I want all of the money that has been drained from our personal coffers, in hopes of breaking our spirit and making us more malleable to control, RETURNED IMMEDIATELY!

From the Occupied Territory: Awaiting the Assassination

Recently we have been informed that President Obama has received more death threats in a shorter period of time than any president since the organizing of the Secret Service in the immediate aftermath of the Lincoln assassination.

The recent violent and furious protests by armed sign carriers at town-hall meetings, called to discuss health care reforms, recalled not so much democratic discussions New England used to be famous for as distant white protests against civil rights reforms. Cartoons disparaging the President and his family bring to mind an earlier time when blacks were routinely ridiculed in the nation’s press. The Rush Limbaughs, Glenn Becks, Lou Dobbs, Anne Coulters, Sean Hannitys, etc., who routinely pollute the television and radio airwaves, have proven themselves true acolytes of the 1930s fascist Father Coughlin, the “Father of Hate Radio,” and are themselves the oracles of hate television. Like the “birthers,” those delusional white folks who so hate the idea of a black president that they invent their own “reality” in the form of fake birth certificates and claim the president wasn’t born in the U.S. and therefore is ineligible to be president. Protesters carrying signs calling for the death of Obama, Michelle and the children, black politicians’ offices being painted with swastikas, the president labeled a Nazi, a communist, and Republican Party threats that similar tactics will be used in upcoming debates on immigration reform; all this against a national media backdrop of a full television menu, ranging from Whale Wars and Dog the Bounty Hunter to the First 48, has reinforced television viewing that promotes racial and ethnic intolerance. The tinder box of political tensions is ignited and simmering.

This is the “democracy at work” that a handful of white liberals, notably including San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, dismiss not only as harmless but productive.

Mayor Newsom and others seem not to recognize a new downward ratcheting of Republican Party strategists; a downward spiral from the so-called “southern strategy” of the Nixon years and beyond, when the Republicans manipulated white fears toward civil rights gains for African-Americans and others to a newer and even more mean-spirited strategy that could be called the Randy Weaver recruitment plan.

Randy Weaver was the evangelical, former Green Beret, Aryan-nation-sympathizing nut who was in a shootout standoff with the federal government in 1992 at Ruby Ridge, Idaho.

Though few invoke Randy Weaver’s name, the allusions could not be clearer.

The hatred and anger we see spewing forth at the health care “discussions” (and which we are led to believe will be duplicated at any immigration reform discussions) is based on a fundamental mistrust of government that was first fueled during the civil rights movement and gradually stoked to its current white heat intensity by the Howard Jarvis-Paul Gann-like tax reform initiatives that spread across the nation in the late 1970’s. These tax reform initiatives helped lay the basis for the current fiscal crises now experienced by virtually every public political entity in the nation.

Many within the Republican Party appear appalled at what’s happening. However, anyone who’s followed the career and seemingly inexplicable popularity of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, Randy Weaver in pumps, witnessed the ease with which she describes herself as a “redneck woman,” and notes the racist populist enthusiasm of her denigration of the federal government can see that a sizeable portion of the Republican Party has gone far beyond what senior Republican strategist Ed Rollins lamented on election night past when he said, “We’ve become the party of the deep south.”

In 2008, the Republican Party at its national convention of 2,500 delegates, boasted 75 African-American delegates. [Numbers of Latino delegates appear not to be available.] In addition to proving that white folks have no monopoly on political self-delusion, these numbers reflect how totally and absolutely the Republican Party is out of step with modern needs of the multi-racial electorate of the U.S.

Those charged with securing the safety of the president say all that is needed to set of a conflagration (presumably a euphemism for the unthinkable) is a spark.

Meanwhile from the Left, there is barely a whisper. From those who were so quick just a year ago to accuse Michigan Congress member John Conyers of treason for not attempting to impeach Bush, there is virtual silence. Significant numbers of black progressives engage in studious navel gazing as they debate whether or not Obama is good for black people. Organized labor, at a time when it could have tremendous influence in charting a progressive path, is disorganized.

There is no joy or delight cataloguing the darkness that seems to be descending on the U.S. political scene. However, the atmosphere has now become so charged, it is rarely possible to criticize Obama on his weaknesses and failures, without adding fuel to the fire in progress.

If the unthinkable should become real, that would surely unravel the American project as we know it.

ARE YOU FREAKIN’ KIDDING ME?

Sarah Palin Talks About “Real” Healthcare Reform

From her little town in Alaska, Sarah Palin is quietly leading the common sense charge on the important issues of the day using something as simple as a social networking site.  No cameras, no teleprompters, no adoring zombies…

From Sarah’s Facebook page:

No Health Care Reform Without Legal Reform

President Obama’s health care “reform” plan has met with significant criticism across the country. Many Americans want change and reform in our current health care system. We recognize that while we have the greatest medical care in the world, there are major problems that we must face, especially in terms of reining in costs and allowing care to be affordable for all. However, as we have seen, current plans being pushed by the Democratic leadership represent change that may not be what we had in mind — change which poses serious ethical concerns over the government having control over our families’ health care decisions. In addition, the current plans greatly increase costs of health care, while doing lip service toward controlling costs.

We need to address a REAL bipartisan reform proposition that will have REAL impacts on costs and quality of patient care.

As Governor of Alaska, I learned a little bit about being a target for frivolous suits and complaints (Please, do I really need to footnote that?). I went my whole life without needing a lawyer on speed-dial, but all that changes when you become a target for opportunists and people with no scruples. Our nation’s health care providers have been the targets of similar opportunists for years, and they too have found themselves subjected to false, frivolous, and baseless claims. To quote a former president, “I feel your pain.”

So what can we do? First, we cannot have health care reform without tort reform. The two are intertwined. For example, one supposed justification for socialized medicine is the high cost of health care. As Dr. Scott Gottlieb recently noted, “If Mr. Obama is serious about lowering costs, he’ll need to reform the economic structures in medicine—especially programs like Medicare.” [1] Two examples of these “economic structures” are high malpractice insurance premiums foisted on physicians (and ultimately passed on to consumers as “high health care costs”) and the billions wasted on defensive medicine.

Dr. Stuart Weinstein, with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, recently explained the problem:

”The medical liability crisis has had many unintended consequences, most notably a decrease in access to care in a growing number of states and an increase in healthcare costs.
Access is affected as physicians move their practices to states with lower liability rates and change their practice patterns to reduce or eliminate high-risk services. When one considers that half of all neurosurgeons—as well as one third of all orthopedic surgeons, one third of all emergency physicians, and one third of all trauma surgeons—are sued each year, is it any wonder that 70 percent of emergency departments are at risk because they lack available on-call specialist coverage?” [2]

Dr. Weinstein makes good points, points completely ignored by President Obama. Dr. Weinstein details the costs that our out-of-control tort system are causing the health care industry and notes research that “found that liability reforms could reduce defensive medicine practices, leading to a 5 percent to 9 percent reduction in medical expenditures without any effect on mortality or medical complications.” Dr. Weinstein writes:

“If the Kessler and McClellan estimates were applied to total U.S. healthcare spending in 2005, the defensive medicine costs would total between $100 billion and $178 billion per year. Add to this the cost of defending malpractice cases, paying compensation, and covering additional administrative costs (a total of $29.4 billion). Thus, the average American family pays an additional $1,700 to $2,000 per year in healthcare costs simply to cover the costs of defensive medicine.
Excessive litigation and waste in the nation’s current tort system imposes an estimated yearly tort tax of $9,827 for a family of four and increases healthcare spending in the United States by $124 billion. How does this translate to individuals? The average obstetrician-gynecologist (OB-GYN) delivers 100 babies per year. If that OB-GYN must pay a medical liability premium of $200,000 each year (which is the rate in Florida), $2,000 of the delivery cost for each baby goes to pay the cost of the medical liability premium.” [3]

You would think that any effort to reform our health care system would include tort reform, especially if the stated purpose for Obama’s plan to nationalize our health care industry is the current high costs.

So I have new questions for the president: Why no legal reform? Why continue to encourage defensive medicine that wastes billions of dollars and does nothing for the patients? Do you want health care reform to benefit trial attorneys or patients?

Many states, including my own state of Alaska, have enacted caps on lawsuit awards against health care providers. Texas enacted caps and found that one county’s medical malpractice claims dropped 41 percent, and another study found a “55 percent decline” after reform measures were passed. [4] That’s one step in health care reform. Limiting lawyer contingency fees, as is done under the Federal Tort Claims Act, is another step. The State of Alaska pioneered the “loser pays” rule in the United States, which deters frivolous civil law suits by making the loser partially pay the winner’s legal bills. Preventing quack doctors from giving “expert” testimony in court against real doctors is another reform.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry noted that, after his state enacted tort reform measures, the number of doctors applying to practice medicine in Texas “skyrocketed by 57 percent” and that the tort reforms “brought critical specialties to underserved areas.” These are real reforms that actually improve access to health care. [5]

Dr. Weinstein’s research shows that around $200 billion per year could be saved with legal reform. That’s real savings. That’s money that could be used to build roads, schools, or hospitals.
If you want to save health care, let’s listen to our doctors. There should be no health care reform without legal reform. There can be no true health care reform without legal reform.

(P.S. On a site note, my server seems to be having issues again today.  I do not know if it is my site or another that is causing the delays.  Maybe someone does not like the awards that the Monster gives out, but I continue to thank you for your continued loyalty and support.)

Sarah Palin’s Take On Obama’s Healthcare Reform

I know numerous people, republicans, indies, and current and former dems that would follow this woman to hell and back because they believe that she is real, sincere, patriotic, and a protector of our Constitution and our rights. I happen to think they are right!

I knew that Sarah resigning her office as governor was the shot across the dem’s bow, and they knew it also.  That is why they came out and tried to decimate her even more after she announced her resignation and after her farewell speech to Alaskans.

It’s been a rather quiet week on the Palin front until today, and it is the day I have been waiting for because we know just a little bit of Sarah goes a long way.  (Unlike a certain democratic resident that just has to beat a dead horse on national television daily to the point where a 79 year old Iowan woman is selling her tvs.)

Statement on the Current Health Care Debate

As more Americans delve into the disturbing details of the nationalized health care plan that the current administration is rushing through Congress, our collective jaw is dropping, and we’re saying not just no, but hell no!

The Democrats promise that a government health care system will reduce the cost of health care, but as the economist Thomas Sowell has pointed out, government health care will not reduce the cost; it will simply refuse to pay the cost. And who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course. The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.

Health care by definition involves life and death decisions. Human rights and human dignity must be at the center of any health care discussion.

Rep. Michele Bachmann highlighted the Orwellian thinking of the president’s health care advisor, Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, the brother of the White House chief of staff, in a floor speech to the House of Representatives. I commend her for being a voice for the most precious members of our society, our children and our seniors.

We must step up and engage in this most crucial debate. Nationalizing our health care system is a point of no return for government interference in the lives of its citizens. If we go down this path, there will be no turning back. Ronald Reagan once wrote, “Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we’ll ever see on this earth.” Let’s stop and think and make our voices heard before it’s too late.

Pajamas TV Hits A Home Run On “How To Destroy A Leader”

It is always a pleasure to be able to return a linking h/t. This one goes to Why Mommy Is A Palin Supporter for the following post:

A Lesson On How To Destroy A Leader:

Bill Whittle of Pajamas Media has released a commentary on the multi-faceted campaign to bring down Sarah Palin that pours down thirteen minutes of unadulterated verbal smackdown on the heads of those in the media, the Democratic Party and the Republican establishment who have been attacking Sarah Palin. This is a “must watch” video commentary that sends a reverberent cannon shot directly into enemy ground. Few names are mentioned, but the enemy is identified, exposed and crushed with facts that do not merely reveal, but truly inspire.

Please do watch the entire thirteen minutes.

I applaud Bill Whittle for one of the clearest and most concise commentaries I have heard in years, and as “Mommy” states, listen through the entire commentary because the suppositions at the end about moral and immoral people, and Saul Alinsky and his tactics are a MUST HEAR and HEED!  The commentary will also give you more than a bird’s eye view of what the coasts think of the little peeps in fly-over country.

(P.S. Firefox does not like the security on this site, so I recommend IE or Safari.)

Obama DeathCare Roundup: Where To Start?

The circus in Washington surrounding this issue continues, and I am wondering if anybody else is asking the important question, “Why is this such an emergency when we know that this healthcare reform is not going to reduce the deficit, create jobs, or help the economy?”  It is more than obvious that this is just another plank in the fascist platform that is called “Government Takeover” by the liberal left wing of the Progressive Socialist Democratic Party formerly known as the party of slavery; The Democrats.  Don’t believe me, look it up here and here!

Remember Bambi and Nancy keep talking about the three fronts: Energy (Cap and Trade), Education (Americorps and HR3221), and Healthcare reform (Obama DeathCare).  They just didn’t tell you that they were going to take over large segments of the economy like banks, financial institutions, car companies, insurance companies, set pay for executives, appoint umpteen czars, etc.  If you are thinking this all just happened by accident and some cosmic perfect storm created this, go here and find out what has been going on under your noses.

Now, let’s take two steps back to 7.22.09 and this post: CBO Director Summoned To White House: More Chicago Thuggery?

Yesterday, the director of the CBO, Douglas Elmendorf, (also a former senior fellow at the Brookings Institute 2007-2009), was “invited” to the White House to meet with the resident’s “key budget and health advisors”, and outside experts to discuss “achieving cost savings in health reform”.

I am supposing that people would not be making such an issue about this visit if it weren’t for Bambi’s Chicago thuggery record.  Here are just a few examples and don’t be fooled by the titles:

In the Washington Times, 7.28.09:

CBO boosts Obama’s health plan

President Obama and his Democratic allies, scrambling to broker a health care deal Monday, finally got an upbeat assessment from Congress’ official scorekeeper when it said the plan for government-run coverage would not force out private insurers.

House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer trumpeted the report from the Congressional Budget Office, Congress’ nonpartisan budget analyst, that said private insurers could survive competition from a government health insurance option – contradicting a chief criticism from Republicans.

“Now we’ve heard that the reform will represent a government takeover of health care. A point of fact: The opposite is true,” said Mr. Hoyer, Maryland Democrat.

Republicans have said the public health insurance option, which would likely have low reimbursement rates, would drive private insurers out of business. They argue that once private insurers are gone, the public option would be the only health insurance option. (emphasis mine)

Republicans touted a report from the Lewin Group, a health research firm owned by an insurance company, that predicted 100 million people out of the 160 million now covered by employer-sponsored insurance would go to the government coverage.

Not so fast Bambi.  This video I put up a few days ago with the very words from the democrats horses’ mouths:

The Truth About Obama Health Care Reform

Want to know the truth about the strategy to move every American onto single payer health care where a bureaucrat decides whether you live or die?  Nothing says “the truth” like tape; always get tape:

Nothing says truth like dems talking about slowly and strategically moving everybody toward government controlled single payer health care because private insurers won’t be able to compete.  I KNOW THEY WON’T, I work for a small business that is getting creamed by health insurance costs.  If it comes down to the company surviving by moving everybody to the government plan or going bankrupt, I KNOW what my employer will do.

Moving on; Senator DeMint seems to be the only public person besides Sarah, Rush and Glenn to be doing a damn fine impression of Paul Revere, and raising the alarm about what is happening with the snake known as the Obama administration.

S.C. Senator Is a Voice Of Reform Opposition

DeMint a Champion Of Conservatives

As anxiety about health-care reform was being expressed Monday on the medical center’s campus in this conservative suburb of South Carolina’s capital, Sen. Jim DeMint (S.C.) was sharpening his opposition to President Obama’s attempt to overhaul the health-care industry.

The Republican has used fiery rhetoric to create a sense of urgency on the matter, making himself a champion of conservatives in the process.

“I’m swinging on this issue,” DeMint said in an interview. “If I can stop a government takeover, I will. . . . It’s not personal. It’s not political. It’s about stopping a bad policy.”

Republican Senate leaders have distanced themselves from DeMint, saying they are opposed not to health-care reform but to the proposals Democrats are pressing. Sen. George V. Voinovich (Ohio), a retiring moderate, told colleagues Monday he thinks DeMint and other conservatives are to blame for the party’s downfall. And none of DeMint’s colleagues has endorsed his Waterloo comment.

Excuse me? Who decided John McCain was the champion of the Republican Party, or Colin Powell, or Michael Steele; none of which have any cajones to slow the momentum of the train wreck occurring to our nation?  I still want to know what the Dems promised the Repubs to allow Bambi in office – was it this deathcare or Sotomayor?

The Democratic National Committee seized upon the remark, airing a television ad on cable stations here accusing DeMint of “trying to kill health-care reform” and “playing politics with health care.” The party announced on Monday that it had extended the ad through Friday, and a Democratic official said DeMint’s outspokenness is helping to recruit candidates to challenge him in 2010 when he faces voters again.

“We’re certainly not trying to quiet Jim DeMint,” DNC spokesman Brad Woodhouse said. “He’s given us a gift because we’re able to go to other Republican members and say, ‘Do you agree with Jim DeMint that health care should be used to break the president politically?’ I don’t think it at all has been helpful to the Republicans.”

So the dems are attacking Sarah Palin, Jim DeMint and whoever else is trying to expose the lies of the Obama Administration and his zombies in congress.

DeMint, 57, who before entering politics owned a small marketing business and struggled to negotiate affordable health-care coverage for his dozen or so employees, said fixing the system has been one of the main causes of his career. But he considers Democratic plans a threat to freedoms Americans treasure.

Since arriving in Washington in 1999 as a House member, DeMint has been on a crusade against the bureaucracy of the federal city. He sought to abolish the federal tax code and once staged a rally in his home town of Greenville, where he tossed all 17,000 pages of the Internal Revenue Service tax code from a hot-air balloon.

“I’m working with a lot of people up here [in Washington] who don’t really understand the health insurance market,” he said. “I don’t think anyone in his Cabinet, or Obama himself, understands the business. I’ve been around doctors all my life.

“We need some real health-care reform,” he added. “So, Mr. President, get your hands off of my health care and let’s make health insurance work better.”

James L. Guth, a political scientist at Furman University, said of DeMint: Health care “in many ways kind of crystallizes all of the concerns he used to start with. His first campaign slogan was ‘Bring Freedom Home,’ and he sees all of these government programs as a gradual encroachment of American freedom.”

Some medical professionals here in Lexington County agree.

“Whenever I mention it to patients, they are afraid,” said John G. Black, a longtime internist at Lexington Medical Center and president of the South Carolina Medical Association. “You could go to any state in the union and you could find patients and physicians who are afraid they will lose freedom in making medical decisions.”

I wonder what the rest of the day will bring…

Sarah Palin Farewell Address 7.26.09

Ah, the verbal bitchslapping begins; I do believe “its on”!  If the liberal moonbats were not worried before, they had better be now.  The 2nd American Revolution now has it’s speaker and leader!

There is a reason I support Sarah Palin; an intelligent, sincere person who became a politician without becoming corrupt, and resigned when she and her staff were no longer able to get the job done because of ethics complaints bogging them down.   Was not her resignation in the best interests of Alaskans?

The Media’s Message About Palin

I have been watching and reading what the MSM have been saying about Sarah since her resignation on 7.3.09 and the message that their masters have given them to spew forth over and over again in a new mantra of attack is this; Palin has no experience, an almost transparent resume, she is leaving the only job that would give her experience, and therefore, her message cannot possible be correct because it is not based on anything.

Here is just one example of the numerous I have read over the last few days,  and the blinding omission of the obvious; Barack Obama has even less experience.   This snake oil salesman and frontman for the shadow chess players was a “community organizer” and served only 143 days in the Illinois Senate before starting his alexandrian campaign for the White House.

I found this story over at CQ Politics and it was written by David Corn about Time Magazine.

Time Goes Gaga for Palin

In a classic example of newsmagazine overthink, Time profiles Sarah Palin with a cover story that practically celebrates her thin résumé and essentially makes the case that know-nothingism could be good for America. Seriously:

“Palin’s unconventional step speaks to an ingrained frontier skepticism of authority — even one’s own. Given the plunging credibility of institutions and élites, that’s a mood that fits the Palin brand. Résumés ain’t what they used to be; they count only with people who trust credentials — a dwindling breed. The mathematics Ph.D.s who dreamed up economy-killing derivatives have pretty impressive résumés. The leaders of congressional committees and executive agencies have decades of experience — at wallowing in red ink, mismanaging economic bubbles and botching covert intelligence.”

If ever there has been a time to gamble on a flimsy résumé, ever a time for the ultimate outsider, this might be it. “We have so little trust in the character of the people we elected that most of us wouldn’t invite them into our homes for dinner, let alone leave our children alone in their care,” writes talk-show host Glenn Beck in his book Glenn Beck’s Common Sense, a pox-on-all-their-houses fusillade at Washington. Dashed off in a fever of disillusionment with those in power, Beck’s book is selling like vampire lit, with more than 1 million copies in print.

Citing Glenn Beck as proof that many Americans are eager to turn to a pol with little expertise in national policy? But didn’t the country just have an election? And didn’t a significant majority vote for the guy with two Ivy League degrees who talked about bringing professionalism, science, and expertise back to policymaking in Washington? (Anyone remember Palin’s climate change denialism? Not the Time people.)

Didn’t 69 Million incredibly gullible people buy the MSM marketing of a candidate that has no experience and even more questionable judgement?  It is no wonder we are in this mess when Americans are voting with their emotions instead of their cranial faculties.

You may or may not like Sarah or agree with her; that’s not the point of this post.  The point is to watch what the Media is stating about her and see the reverse marketing approach that they are making in hopes of slowing down her message by discrediting her personally and professionally.

I personally am glad that with all that is happening in the beltway, we at least have one adult speaking the truth above the heads of the crack-smokin’ congress and the hormonally challenged teenagers in the White House.

Sarah Palin To Andrea Mitchell: “You Aren’t Listening…”

I loved it when Sarah said to Andrea Mitchell, “You Aren’t Listening!”.

Did you know that another ethics complaint was filed against Gov. Palin yesterday by a man who filed one previously that was thrown out?

Un-fricken-believable!  (ENOUGH ALREADY)
