One can go back to 1977 and the FISA Act that started the war against your right to privacy, but in 2001 the Bush administration and a congress full of assclowns and elitists ramped up the assault when they passed the incredibly un-Constitutional PATRIOT ACT which allowed for all sorts of invasive and silent investigations; federal agents writing their own warrants, warrantless wiretapping, library records, new banking rules, TSA sexual assault and conditioning, and the list goes on and on and ON. All of it is an attack on the Fourth Amendment and flips the whole notion of ‘innocent until proven guilty’ on it’s head. (more…)
Fourth Amendment: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
Not anymore; Cedar Falls, Iowa City Council is following in the footsteps of the Indiana Supreme Court and law enforcement by passing an ordinance by a vote of 6-1 that requires keys for a universal lock box for commercial properties, apartments, and rental buildings. Note in the video where the city council member is leaving the Constitutionality of the measure up to a higher court in pursuit of even more government power. We are living in a dictatorship where the gloves are coming off and they are making every effort to set up the totalitarian central government; no matter what common sense demands. (more…)
Okay MOOS, listen up. Sheriffs in North Carolina (that supposedly work FOR YOU) have approached the NC legislature and requested warrant-less access to state prescription drug lists of patients who are prescribed controlled substances by their doctors. They want to be able to sift through and find drug abusers in order “to curb a growing problem of prescription drug abuse.”
I know I should be shocked by this new fascist idea, but I’m not. I almost did not write about this because it has become the norm in our world; actual privacy has become an illusion.
Judge Napolitano gave an interview with Shep Smith on Studio B a few minutes ago where he stated that the NC sheriffs are trying to fundamentally change the privacy clause in the Constitution, change the physician/patient relationship, and he wonders how this could be happening considering the sheriffs work for us. Do they? The rabbit hole I have been down points to something altogether different than “We The People”.
When that vid becomes available, I will post it.
