If I were president, on Day One I would issue an executive order paving the way for Obamacare waivers to all 50 states. The executive order would direct the Secretary of Health and Human Services and all relevant federal officials to return the maximum possible authority to the states to innovate and design health-care solutions that work best for them.
As I have stated time and again, a one-size-fits-all national plan that raises taxes is simply not the answer. Under our federalist system, the states are “laboratories of democracy.” They should be free to experiment. By the way, what works in one state may not be the answer for another. Of course, the ultimate goal is to repeal Obamacare and replace it with free-market reforms that promote competition and lower health-care costs. But since an outright repeal would take time, an executive order is the first step in returning power to the states.
I only have one thing to say about Mitt Romney’s attempt to position himself for a presidential nomination…
P.A.T.H.E.T.I.C. (on, oh, so many levels).
If this is what Romney thinks will swing support his way, he is so far behind the current patriotic ideological trend that he isn’t even in the same hemisphere with the rest of us, (not that he ever was; being another progressive plant for the globalists).
Democriminal Sheila Jackson Lee believes that repealing Obamacare will kill Americans. How’s that for mamby-pamby, politically correct rhetoric. She also believes that ‘it’s not my fault you can’t understand logic’ (7:58) when Neil calls her out on the use of a senior citizen’s image (who is covered by Medicare) as a backdrop to talk about Obamacare.
Yep – weeze all two stooopid, even Neil Cavuto.
On an even lighter note….
AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHEILA SAID SO!!!!!!!!!
The House voted on Wednesday to repeal the sweeping healthcare law enacted last year, as Republicans made good on a central campaign pledge and laid down the first major policy marker of their new majority.
The vote was 245-189.
It’s a start, but remember that Sheila just made the statement that she wants to ‘amend’ Obamacare, not ‘repeal’. Obamacare is the foot in the door for these progressive asshats; DO NOT let Republicans back down. Not one inch!
What did America say back in 2008, 2009, and early 2010? It all came down to the math.
No Bank bailouts
No Car company bailouts
No MORE Stimulus
No printing of more fiat money devaluing the dollar and causing inflation
The elites did not listen to us because we are just too stupid to be able to add 2+2, and now AARP is scrambling because of the unrealistic scheme to socialize medicine that they endorsed and promoted.
AARP has sent an email to employees stating that their insurance premiums will rise between 8% and 13% because of ‘medical inflation’ with Obamacare being only a small part of the equation. AARP is also getting hit with the 40% ‘nudge’ tax for premium plans. Thanks Cass Sunstein. (Source: Yahoo News/AP) For an alternative to AARP, check out 60 Plus Association.
THIS is what happens when The Fed is allowed to print money willy-nilly, monetize the debt, and the progressive left-wing of the Democratic party goes overboard on setting up the holy grail of nanny-state structures.
It has been like dealing with a bunch of crack-smokin’ teenagers, but the good news is that their unbelievably non-mathematical behavior has caused enough Americans to vocally and actively mobilize to create the real change we have been looking for over the last few DECADES. These very elites who think ‘better’ than us have created the firestorm. “Yes, it’s going to be different this time around.”
Thank You Ben, Timmie, Nancy, Barry, Harry, AARP, etc.
Greta interviewed Sen. Judd Gregg (uncut) on Obamacare, 10.27.2010. I enjoyed the fact that Greta just let the senator speak, and speak he does.
I think he (Obama) underestimates the common sense of the American people. When they look at something like this, they say, ‘hold it, this isn’t gonna work. It’s not going to work for me, it’s not gonna work for my family and it certainly not going to work for the country, and we can’t afford it.’
As this bill becomes more and more, as it starts to go into place, as different parts of the bill start to be actually undertaken and put into action, it just keeps delivering bad news to people. It doesn’t improve our health care system, it doesn’t improve the cost of the health care system, and it certainly doesn’t reduce the size of the government.
An excerpt of the Politico op-ed that Greta is referring to:
President Barack Obama and congressional Democrats promised us that the new law would lower premiums. It has not. Premiums in 2011 will rise more than 12 percent for employer-sponsored coverage, according to a recent Hewitt Associates study. Out-of-pocket costs for workers, meaning co-payments, deductibles and co-insurance, are also likely to rise by almost 13 percent.
We were promised that, if we liked our coverage, we could keep it. But we were misled. The Obama administration recently revealed that employees of nearly 70 percent of U.S. businesses, who get coverage through their job, may lose their current health care plan because of the new regulations. The outlook is even bleaker for employees of small businesses, the backbone of the U.S. economy.
Low-wage workers also stand to suffer as onerous new regulations are implemented. These workers may lose access to their current benefits because the government will prohibit their employers from offering a plan that is affordable and provides substantive benefits for working families. Companies like McDonalds, which help low-income employees with insurance, have put us on notice that they may have to drop coverage.
Greta interviewing Rep. Mike Pence about bi-partisanship in Congress once the Republicans take back control of the House.
I want to be very, very clear with people around the country. There is going to be no compromise on ending the era of runaway federal spending, borrowing, bailouts, takeovers, deficits, and debt. No compromise on repealing Obamacare, lock, stock, and barrel. – Mike Pence
I will believe it when I see it because I don’t believe it right now. As for bi-partisanship and getting something done in the District of Criminals; compromising so that the bills that are shoved through are not as bad as the pieces of crap that the Progressive Dems hammered us with IS NOT going to cut it with the American public. There had better be no half measures or piece meal repeal of certain parts of Obamacare or the Fascist Financial Regulation Reform law. Americans are livid that our time, energy, and money was wasted ramming Obamacare down our throats, but we are willing to cut our losses and START OVER FROM SCRATCH with billS that reflect American values and not European Collectivism.
If I hear one more ‘conservative’ talking head state that Bush 43 kept us safe after 9.11, or that 19 hijackers took down the twin towers all by themselves, I think I will absolutely lose my mind from the lowing of the moos in the field.
No 9.11; no Patriot Act with accompanying anthrax scare; no Department of Homeland Security to create a mirror database of personal information and then take an exemption from the 1974 Privacy Act. Who needs a national ID card when DHS has the mirror database, The Fed has all your financial records, and Obamacare has everything else including your bank account information to draw funds electronically for medical care?
Now, given that DHS hasn’t secured the border, people who read the Constitution have been labeled as possible domestic terrorists, and the FBI considers the ‘sovereign’ movement to be domestic terrorists, do we watchdogs of the republic still look insane or are you feeling us yet?
