Let’s not even go toward Mitt Romney and his brainchild, the predecessor to Obamacare, Romneycare. Let’s start with Republicans allowing 300,000 voters from a democratically held district to be moved into Ron Paul’s district and see how long the unsung founder of the tea party holds his seat? Think Republicans are any better at protecting our liberties and the Constitution than the Democrats? Think again. They are all a bunch of assclowns that have graduated from the University Of Global Prickery. (more…)
The following statement comes from a democratic United States senator during a rally supporting the $300 million tax dollars that Planned Parenthood receives annually from the federal government. Can we impeach his ass for just plain condescending stupidity? Since when do the freedoms assured and protected by the Constitution come from an group of elected officials that have been incredibly busy stripping us of all of them?
They don’t deserve the freedoms in the Constitution, but we’ll give it to them anyway. – Senator Frank Lautenberg
Thanks for letting us know, Frank, that you and your elitist friends are going to allow us our Constitutional rights.
…and Obama is still in denial. Anybody with half a brain knows that Obama will not move to the center. That will make the left wing of the Big Government Party very happy and will ensure more trash being taking out in 2012.
Remember to VOTE! Take your neighbors to the polls; having voting entourages; whatever legal measures it takes to spank this Congress so hard that they never forget what happens when the giant awakes.
Yes, we are that sick of the District of Criminals…
I want to know when we are going to see banksters doing the perp walk and going to jail for what they have done?
How’s that title grab ya kids? Yes, ladies and gentlemen; that is an actual quote from Howard Dean himself sending a welcoming message to the Party of European Socialists at their congress in December, 2009. According to Howie, the American progressives and EU progressives have been working together for a long time. (My sincerest apologies for missing this a year ago.)
Any more doubts that the Democrats have become the American Progressive Socialist Party, or the future that the Democrats want where we have to follow the rules laid down by unelected officials on the other side of the world?
The cooperation between our parties has intensified significantly in the past two and a half years with regular contact at congress, senate, party and foundation levels. Efforts have been remarkable from both sides. The attendance of President Clinton and myself at the Global Progressive Forum World Conference in Brussels in 2009, I think is eloquent and proves this point very well. Many common initiatives have been launched. There’s been consistent work on the issue of the financial crisis, private equity and hedge funds with strong coordination between EU and US progressives. – Howard Dean, address to PES Congress, December 2009.
This article is about the europarty established in 1992. For its current European Parliament Group and its predecessors dating back to 1953, see the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats.
The Party of European Socialists (PES) is a European political party led by Poul Nyrup Rasmussen MEP comprising social-democratic parties primarily from European Union member states, as well as other nations of the European continent. The PES member parties are themselves members of the Socialist International. The PES forms the majority of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats (S&D) group in the European parliament. The PES also operates in the Committee of the Regions and the European Council.
I have been waiting for an artist to create the image that encapsulates the basic workings of the Big Government Party.

Greta interviewing Rep. Mike Pence about bi-partisanship in Congress once the Republicans take back control of the House.
I want to be very, very clear with people around the country. There is going to be no compromise on ending the era of runaway federal spending, borrowing, bailouts, takeovers, deficits, and debt. No compromise on repealing Obamacare, lock, stock, and barrel. – Mike Pence
I will believe it when I see it because I don’t believe it right now. As for bi-partisanship and getting something done in the District of Criminals; compromising so that the bills that are shoved through are not as bad as the pieces of crap that the Progressive Dems hammered us with IS NOT going to cut it with the American public. There had better be no half measures or piece meal repeal of certain parts of Obamacare or the Fascist Financial Regulation Reform law. Americans are livid that our time, energy, and money was wasted ramming Obamacare down our throats, but we are willing to cut our losses and START OVER FROM SCRATCH with billS that reflect American values and not European Collectivism.
It appears that the NRA is just as deaf as AARP; they are backing incumbent democrats in 58 races.
According to the Washington Post, the NRA has a policy of being ‘incumbent friendly’ if both candidates for a seat are pro-gun rights.
So far this year, the NRA has endorsed 58 incumbent House Democrats, including more than a dozen in seats that both parties view as critical to winning a majority.
In South Dakota, Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin (D) got the NRA’s endorsement even though her opponent, Kristi Noem (R), has made her fondness for hunting a prominent part of her campaign.
Noem’s campaign manager, Joshua Shields, said that regardless of Herseth Sandlin’s record on gun issues, she would still support House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), “one of the most anti-gun speakers Congress has ever had.”
“We made that argument to the NRA,” Shields said. “Obviously it didn’t work.”
The thumbs-up from the NRA has given Democrats who represent conservative districts, such as Herseth Sandlin, an opportunity to fight back against repeated attacks that they’re tied to their party’s liberal leaders in Washington. With an NRA endorsement in hand, candidates are able to assert that they are willing to choose their constituents over their leaders when warranted. (emphasis added)
Wow…willing to choose their consitutents over their leaders WHEN warranted.
God save us from the political class and the elites.
Texas doctors are opting out of Medicare at alarming rates, frustrated by reimbursement cuts they say make participation in government-funded care of seniors unaffordable.
Two years after a survey found nearly half of Texas doctors weren’t taking some new Medicare patients, new data shows 100 to 200 a year are now ending all involvement with the program. Before 2007, the number of doctors opting out averaged less than a handful a year.
“This new data shows the Medicare system is beginning to implode,” said Dr. Susan Bailey, president of the Texas Medical Association. “If Congress doesn’t fix Medicare soon, there’ll be more and more doctors dropping out and Congress’ promise to provide medical care to seniors will be broken.”
More than 300 doctors have dropped the program in the last two years, including 50 in the first three months of 2010, according to data compiled by the Houston Chronicle. Texas Medical Association officials, who conducted the 2008 survey, said the numbers far exceeded their assumptions.
The largest number of doctors opting out comes from primary care, a field already short of practitioners nationally and especially in Texas. Psychiatrists also make up a large share of the pie, causing one Texas leader to say, “God forbid that a senior has dementia.”
The opt-outs follow years of declining Medicare reimbursement that culminated in a looming 21 percent cut in 2010. Congress has voted three times to postpone the cut, which was originally to take effect Jan. 1. It is now set to take effect June 1.
Meanwhile, it is just starting to dawn on the progressive socialists in power that America IS PISSED and we are about to show them just how much.
President Barack Obama and his Democratic allies are using the levers of government to speed up and promote what they consider the most popular aspects of the new health care law before a highly skeptical public passes judgment in November.
Top administration officials, who meet regularly with outside special interest groups to coordinate the public relations effort, have so far focused on expediting and amplifying four key areas of the new law: expanding coverage to young adults, covering sick people with pre-existing conditions or high medical costs, providing tax breaks to small businesses and helping a select group of seniors pay for prescription drugs.
In one case, the administration moved so quickly to provide coverage to young adults under their parents’ health plan that it cut short the conventional period for the public to weigh in on the new rule.
In another, it used taxpayer money to alert small businesses that they will get a break on this year’s taxes.
Both are perfectly legal but also politically beneficial.
In every case, the administration’s objective is unmistakable: Make sure as many Americans as possible know as quickly as possible about the health care changes they will find most attractive.
There are two big reasons Democrats feel the need to step it up.
First, polls that show the public still isn’t backing the legislation. Most show mixed feelings at best and often hostile attitudes toward the law. The latest NBC/Wall Street Journal Poll found that 44 percent think the health plan is a bad idea; 38 percent think it is a good idea.
Second, the heavy spending in anti-reform advertising: In the past month, anti-health-reform groups have poured $3.8 million into television advertising, nearly doubling the $2 million that has come from pro-reform forces, according to Evan Tracey, founder of TNS Media Intelligence.
The administration says there is no connection between its efforts and the looming 2010 congressional campaign. “Our mission as we work with the White House and other parts of the administration to implement this bill is to get Americans accurate, timely information about their health care and the benefits of the new Affordable Care Act so they are more empowered to get the best-quality care possible,” said Jenny Backus, a spokeswoman for the Department of Health and Human Services, the agency responsible for implementing much of the law.
