Glenn starts out with the differences, or lack thereof, of the two parties controlling the District of Criminals. These two parties are just two sides of the progressive coin.
Glenn then covers Rahm Emanuel’s words about pushing Obama’s agenda through using executive orders; story here. A progressive congress has given away it’s power.
He also talks about Mishy pushing the fight against childhood obesity and mentions food deserts and how there probably is legislation that directly relates. Imagine my surprise when I realized he was talking about this bill that I read months ago; H.R. 3100: Food Desert Oasis Act of 2009. This bill was introduced on June 26, 2009 by none other than Bobby Rush of Illinois.

Part 3, Obama Dictatorship:
Part 4, ClimateGate (How’s that utopia working out for ya?):
Part 5, Lincoln and Washington’s Birthdays (President’s Day), Lewis Lehrman – Lincoln Historian:
A Stanford Professor has used United Nation security officers to silence a journalist asking him “inconvenient questions” during a press briefing at the climate change conference in Copenhagen.
Professor Stephen Schneider’s assistant requested armed UN security officers who held film maker Phelim McAleer, ordered him to stop filming and prevented further questioning after the press conference where the Stanford academic was launching a book.
Al Gore brushes off the Climategate scandal as phrases taken out of context on emails that are more than ten years old, and the CNN crew then gives Al free reign to sell Climate Change, and green jobs with fear tactics.
On 11.25.09, George Monbiot asked Phil Jones to step down because the scandal surrounding ClimateGate, and he is getting his wish. I wonder if Phil realizes that the temporary thang is probably a lie as he goes under the bus. No more gravy train for you Phil.
The scientist at the heart of the climate change scandal was under growing pressure to quit last night.George Monbiot, a leading environmentalist, said Phil Jones should resign from the Climatic Research Unit over leaked emails that appear to show researchers suppressed scientific data.
More emails came to light yesterday, including one in which an American climatologist admitted it was a travesty that scientists could not explain a lack of global warming in recent years.
Leading environmentalist George Monbiot (left) has said Professor Phil Jones should resign over the e-mail debacle.
The director of the embattled Climatic Research Unit (CRU) in the United Kingdom is stepping down pending an investigation into allegations that he overstated the case for man-made climate change.
In a statement posted to its Web site, the University of East Anglia says Phil Jones will relinquish his position until the completion of an independent review into allegations that he worked to alter the way in which global temperature data was presented.
Professor Jones said, “What is most important is that CRU continues its world leading research with as little interruption and diversion as possible. After a good deal of consideration I have decided that the best way to achieve this is by stepping aside from the Director’s role during the course of the independent review and am grateful to the University for agreeing to this. The Review process will have my full support.”
Details of the independent review will be releasd in the next few days, according to the statement.
Matt Dempsey, spokesman for Sen. Jim Inhofe, R-Okla., thinks more is still to come from the scandal coming to be known as Climategate. “It certainly shows that there’s more to the investigation and there’s more to come, and we’re only at the beginning stages of learning about climate-gate,” he told FoxNews.com.
This particular web is unraveling, but I do not think it is going to stop Obama from doing something very marxist and very un-American when he visits Hopenhagen.
ClimateGate? Move along now, nothing to see here, (and this is surely why); even marxists are capitalists are heart. Look at the Chinese.
Climategate: Follow the Money Climate change researchers must believe in the reality of global warming just as a priest must believe in the existence of God.
Last year, ExxonMobil donated $7 million to a grab-bag of public policy institutes, including the Aspen Institute, the Asia Society and Transparency International. It also gave a combined $125,000 to the Heritage Institute and the National Center for Policy Analysis, two conservative think tanks that have offered dissenting views on what until recently was called—without irony—the climate change “consensus.”
To read some of the press accounts of these gifts—amounting to about 0.00027% of Exxon’s 2008 profits of $45 billion—you might think you’d hit upon the scandal of the age. But thanks to what now goes by the name of climategate, it turns out the real scandal lies elsewhere.
Climategate, as readers of these pages know, concerns some of the world’s leading climate scientists working in tandem to block freedom of information requests, blackball dissenting scientists, manipulate the peer-review process, and obscure, destroy or massage inconvenient temperature data—facts that were laid bare by last week’s disclosure of thousands of emails from the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit, or CRU.
But the deeper question is why the scientists behaved this way to begin with, especially since the science behind man-made global warming is said to be firmly settled. To answer the question, it helps to turn the alarmists’ follow-the-money methods right back at them.
Consider the case of Phil Jones, the director of the CRU and the man at the heart of climategate. According to one of the documents hacked from his center, between 2000 and 2006 Mr. Jones was the recipient (or co-recipient) of some $19 million worth of research grants, a sixfold increase over what he’d been awarded in the 1990s.
Make sure to go over to WSJ and follow the billion dollar money trail that will blossom into trillions with Cap and Trade, and all based on faked data.
Just days ahead of the pResident’s trip to Hopenhagen to help hammer out some kind of deal that usurps American sovereignty and moola, Robert Gibbs takes a question from Major Garrett about the hacked ClimateGate emails, and totally sidesteps answering it by stating that “…Carol Browner addressed that last week; on the order of several thousand scientists have come to the conclusion that climate change is happening. I don’t think that’s anything that is, quite frankly among most people, in dispute anymore.” Don’t hold your breath waiting for Gibbs or Obama to volunteer that those scientists based their opinions on faked data.
The lies and deceit about Global Warming are being broken wide open with more information coming in daily, and we are all conspiracists for thinking that maybe something was not tracking quite properly.
The Liberal Party is in turmoil with the resignations of five frontbenchers from their portfolios this afternoon in protest against the emissions trading scheme.
Tony Abbott, Sophie Mirabella, Tony Smith and Senators Nick Minchin and Eric Abetz have all quit their portfolios because they cannot vote for the legislation.
Senate whip Stephen Parry has also relinquished his position.
The ETS is Australia’s version of America’s proposed Cap and Trade and the EU’s various carbon reduction schemes: a way of taxing business on its CO2 output. As Professor Plimer pointed out when I interviewed him in the summer, this threatens to cause enormous economic damage in Australia’s industrial and mining heartlands, not least because both are massively dependent on Australia’s vast reserves of coal. It is correspondingly extremely unpopular with Aussie’s outside the pinko, libtard metropolitan fleshpots.
The lie of global warming makes no difference to the globalist pResident who changed his mind, (like I knew he would), and is planning on attending Copenhagen and pushing the Climate Change Emission restrictions to condemn the world to poverty and control by the UN and the shadow globalists. The globalists are all about controlling resources; energy, oil, gold, guns, food, water, and labor. Can we impeach him yet?
President Barack Obama unveiled a provisional target number for lowering U.S. greenhouse gas emissions that the U.S. will present at next month’s international climate change summit in Copenhagen.
The White House said Obama would offer a provisional U.S. emissions cut of 17 percent below 2005 levels by 2020, mirroring a sweeping House climate bill that was approved over the summer. Obama will put this figure on the table “in the context of an overall deal in Copenhagen that includes robust mitigation contributions from China and the other emerging economies,” the White House said.
The Copenhagen talks are aimed at crafting a political accord, with efforts to reach a final, legally binding emissions treaty to follow next year. The U.S. is the world’s second-largest emitter of greenhouse gases behind China, and the president’s attendance will add some much needed weight to the negotiations. “The President’s decision to go is a sign of his continuing commitment and leadership to find a global solution to the global threat of climate change, and to lay the foundation for a new, sustainable and prosperous clean energy future,” the White House said.
Glenn has given Bambi a new title, The Great Deliberator, since he is continuing to be a pantywaist on Afghanistan. Glenn also calls out this administration and this congress over pulling the rug out from under our troops with their politics of wealth redistribution through a war tax, and the Navy SEALs who are being prosecuted for assault in the case of the terrorist mastermind who killed 4 Blackwater USA security guards.
He also interviews Niall Ferguson (Part 4) about the unsustainability of our debt.
