Political Theatre: The Government Shutdown ‘Dog And Pony’ Show (UPDATED)

Political Theatre: The Government Shutdown ‘Dog And Pony’ Show (UPDATED)

Are we there yet? Are we done yet? Are we done yet?  Are we there yet?  Is the political theatre over yet?

Frakkin’ finally….

District of Criminals; did you really think weeks of haggling over, roughly, $40 billion dollars was anywhere as important as the $14,282 BILLION that we owe on the national debt, the $113 TRILLION in unfunded liabilities, or did you just think that your little kabuki theatre would be all that and a bag of chips? Do the republicans really believe that Americans are so stupid as to not KNOW that the House controls all the spending of the entire government or that Ben Bernanke’s moves to save his buddies in banking, insurance, and real estate isn’t going to collapse the entire financial system and kill the goose that laid the golden egg (the middle class)?

Maybe.  Maybe not; but America is picking sides right now, and the district of criminals is not falling on the proper side of history.  Fair warning…

How’s this for a circus act?

It kindasorta appears the government shutdown ‘dog and pony’ show, (Debt Jumped $54.1 Billion in 8 Days Preceding Obama-Boehner Deal to Cut $38.5 Billion for Rest of Year), that has been going on for weeks is finally over, maybe we can get back to the important stuff….like the $4 Billion we pay in interest on the national debt EACH DAY, the media blackout of Japan’s nuclear reactors, or the rockets being fired into Israel or Russia refueling one of Iran’s nuclear plant, or George Soros and his progressive buddies rewriting the global economic rules and stating the dollar is no longer the world’s reserve currency, OR WHATEVER THE HELL THE FEDERAL RESERVE OR DHS IS DOING AND NOT TELLING US ABOUT BECAUSE THEY DON’T HAVE TO. (lalalalalalalalala)

No?

Well then, let’s speak the truth and give proper perspective.

From The Economic Collapse:

Shut It Down?

We keep hearing that it is all about cutting the budget.  In fact, House Speaker John Boehner says that his party is “damn serious about it”.

But that is a joke.  The federal budget deficit for this year is going to be approximately $1.6 trillion dollars.  The Republicans were asking for just $61 billion in budget cuts (3.8% of the budget deficit) and there are rumors that Republican and Democratic negotiators have agreed to a figure of $38 billion in budget cuts.

$38 billion?

Is this why the Tea Party was sent to Washington?

$38 billion would just be 2.4 percent of the $1.6 trillion dollar deficit.

Wow, that is really wielding the budget cutting axe!

Look, the U.S. government cannot spend a single penny from now on without Republicans going along with it.

The Republicans control the House of Representatives.  Barack Obama and the Senate will not have a single dime to spend unless they can get the House to go along with it.

If the Democrats want money to implement Obamacare then they have to get the Republicans to go along with it.

If the Democrats want to give money to the EPA to implement Obama’s “green agenda” then they have to get the Republicans to go along with it.

In fact, pretty much whatever the Democrats want to do, they have to get the Republicans to agree to fund it.

So if you don’t like what Obama and the Democrats are doing, don’t just blame them.

Blame the Republicans as well.

Both parties are deeply corrupt and both parties have gotten us to the point we are at.

Sadly, it looks like any deal that the Republicans and the Democrats are going to agree to is going to include virtually everything that the Democrats want.

Mark Levin, “This is a historic scam; these are ponziites.”

Since Boehner said the republicans will never shut down the government, and since he has said repeatedly, “we are only half of one third of the government”, well then, what the hell are they going to do on the other issues?  What is their strategy exactly?  How are they going to combat the debt ceiling and fight for $6.2 Trillion dollars in cuts when he has already said, “we’re not going to shut down the government”, and “we are only half of one third of the federal government.”  And by the way, Neil, they are 100% of the spending bills and tax authority under the Constitution. They can stop whatever they want to stop.

Cue the music.  America, you are getting very sleepy…

This is NOT what the Tea Party was sent to Washington to do, and as stated before, this is going to end very badly for the people on the wrong side of history.

America KNOWS that we are watching the financial, societal, and moral collapse of our nation due to the mismanagement of ‘too numerous to name’ political insiders driven by greed and the agenda of globalists.  When push comes to shove, the globalists are outnumbered, America is still armed, and downing espresso shots. Americans are soon going to choose to ‘opt out’. ‘Nuff said.

UPDATE, 4.13.2011:

Just what we expected….

CBO Says Budget Deal Will Cut Spending by Only $352 Million

A Congressional Budget Office analysis of the fiscal 2011 spending deal that Congress will vote on Thursday concludes that it would cut spending this year by less than one-one hundredth of what both Republicans or Democrats have claimed.

A comparison prepared by the CBO shows that the omnibus spending bill, advertised as containing some $38.5 billion in cuts, will only reduce federal outlays by $352 million below 2010 spending rates. The nonpartisan budget agency also projects that total outlays are actually some $3.3 billion more than in 2010, if emergency spending is included in the total.
