WTF? I’m not sure how the rest of America feels about this debate, but I personally am sick to death of people like (closet moonbat) Bill O’Reilly linking ‘enhanced interrogation’ (come on Bill, you can say torture) with results. There IS NO debate. Americans need to get their heads in the game properly and start asking the right questions. Since WHEN has it been A-okay for America to torture people? End the question right there! Does this thinking and behavior not fall under the insane, communist Saul Alinsky philosophy that states ‘the ends justify the means‘. Take a moment and really ask yourself, “Has my moral compass been compromised by societal norms?”

Considering how much time DHS spends on this site, I felt they should have their own ‘way-too-opulent’, overstuffed, armchair to be totally comfy while they track what they consider to be an ‘American Domestic Terrorist‘ – namely the tigger.
Today, they stopped by to look at this article from Sept. 14, 2010:
If I hear one more ‘conservative’ talking head state that Bush 43 kept us safe after 9.11, or that 19 hijackers took down the twin towers all by themselves, I think I will absolutely lose my mind from the lowing of the moos in the field.
No 9.11; no Patriot Act with accompanying anthrax scare; no Department of Homeland Security to create a mirror database of personal information and then take an exemption from the 1974 Privacy Act. Who needs a national ID card when DHS has the mirror database, The Fed has all your financial records, and Obamacare has everything else including your bank account information to draw funds electronically for medical care?
Now, given that DHS hasn’t secured the border, people who read the Constitution have been labeled as possible domestic terrorists, and the FBI considers the ‘sovereign’ movement to be domestic terrorists, do we watchdogs of the republic still look insane or are you feeling us yet?

The unbelievable stupidity and ineptitude of the government goes unchecked when a 20 year old U.S. born citizen of Egyptian descent is secretly GPS tracked by the FBI, who then gets caught, and shows up in force to get their GPS unit back. I’m wondering which event came first, the tracking or the 9th Circuit Appeals judge stating it’s legal to trespass when the government is spying on it’s citizens. Well, maybe that’s not how the decision was actually stated, but the results are the same, yes?

A California student got a visit from the FBI this week after he found a secret GPS tracking device on his car, and a friend posted photos of it online. The post prompted wide speculation about whether the device was real, whether the young Arab-American was being targeted in a terrorism investigation and what the authorities would do.
It took just 48 hours to find out: The device was real, the student was being secretly tracked and the FBI wanted its expensive device back, the student told Wired.com in an interview Wednesday.
The answer came when half-a-dozen FBI agents and police officers appeared at Yasir Afifi’s apartment complex in Santa Clara, California, on Tuesday demanding he return the device.
Afifi, a 20-year-old U.S.-born citizen, cooperated willingly and said he’d done nothing to merit attention from authorities. Comments the agents made during their visit suggested he’d been under FBI surveillance for three to six months.
An FBI spokesman wouldn’t acknowledge that the device belonged to the agency or that agents appeared at Afifi’s house.
“I can’t really tell you much about it, because it’s still an ongoing investigation,” said spokesman Pete Lee, who works in the agency’s San Francisco headquarters.
Afifi, the son of an Islamic-American community leader who died a year ago in Egypt, is one of only a few people known to have found a government-tracking device on their vehicle.
His discovery comes in the wake of a recent ruling by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals saying it’s legal for law enforcement to secretly place a tracking device on a suspect’s car without getting a warrant, even if the car is parked in a private driveway.

Anthony (Tony) Shaffer’s book, ‘Operation Dark Heart‘ was approved by the Army and set for release on August 31, 2010, when the Defense Intelligence Agency stepped in and notified the Army that the book’s approval needed to be rescinded because it impacts national security. The controversy surrounds Shaffer’s testimony about Mohammad Atta given to the 9.11 Commission, and Operation ‘Able-Danger’.
Anthony Shaffer is a U.S. Army Lt. Col who has alleged that the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) failed to properly evaluate intelligence on 9/11 hijacker Mohammad Atta. Shaffer’s allegations subsequently became known as the Able Danger controversy. In October 2003, according to his later statement to Congress, Shaffer told the 9/11 Commission staff director, Dr. Philip D. Zelikow, that in 2000 a DIA data-mining program known as Able Danger had uncovered two of the three terrorist cells eventually implicated in the 9/11 attacks. Shaffer reportedly told Zelikow that DIA leadership declined to share this information with the FBI because military lawyers expressed concerns about the legality of doing so. Shaffer also asserted that he briefed Director of Central Intelligence George Tenet on three separate occasions regarding his unit’s activities. The 9/11 Commission Report did not mention Shaffer’s allegations, but in 2005 and 2006 the Chairman of the House Select Intelligence Committee, Rep. Curt Weldon, publicized Shaffer’s allegations in public statements and hearings.[1]

I have thought from the moment I saw the first plane hit the towers that there is much more to this than just ‘covering’ the intelligence community’s asses over what appears to be a mistake of this magnitude. This could also be more of ‘watch the left hand while we slap you with the right’ maneuvering (Colbert vs. Coates on Capitol Hill last week). There is just too much evidence to support a completely different story than was told by the 9.11 Commission.
