(Editor’s Note:  My apologies for the tardiness of this post, but the internet is still spotty here in Hawaii since the severing of the fiber optic cable back to the mainland late Monday evening.  Reports that the service has been fully restored by Oceanic Time Warner Cable are not quite accurate as they are having serious issues with non-responsive servers.  I will continue to post as the intermittent service allows.)

I understand that Beck doesn’t like to cover certain topics until he can prove without a shadow of a doubt that he ain’t wearing a tinfoil hat like the rest of us and espousing conspiracy theories.  That being said, it’s nice to see him catching up on some of the issues and events that many of us bloggers have known about for YEARS; namely Prairie Fire – The Weather Underground’s Manifesto.  Go here for a downloadable/embeddable Scribd copy of it.

Glenn Beck, 7.26.2010: The Left Has Angst About YOU!

The liberal left, as represented by members of Netroots Nation this past weekend, appear to be experiencing a level of angst about Glenn Beck (American patriots) that we have been experiencing for two years now over Obama and his crew of thugs, and fascist agenda.  Glenn takes some time to explain that YOU should not lose hope because YOU are making a difference and that we have collectively gotten under the skin of the social Utopians.  My own personal thoughts include 1.) they have no idea how freaked out they should be, and 2.) how much they are cluelessly assisting the global elites in their own destruction.

Mr. Obama’s most egregious and brazen betrayal of our Constitution was his statement to Sen. Jon Kyl, Arizona Republican, that the administration will not enforce security on our southern border because that would remove Republicans’ desire to negotiate a “comprehensive” immigration bill. That is, to put it plainly, a decision that by any reasonable standard constitutes an impeachable offense against the Constitution. For partisan political advantage, he is willfully disregarding his obligation under Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution to protect states from foreign invasion.

Glenn Beck, 7.22.2010: Financial Regulatory Reform

Glenn gives a seventeen minute monologue about the financial regulatory reform bill that Obama just signed into law. Glenn is about to blow a gasket because it appears that he has figured out what’s in it and the effect that it is going to have on our republic. He believes the last nail has been hammered in the republic’s coffin, and I just have to wonder why he didn’t know about it sooner. We did…two months ago. (I’m still waiting for someone like Beck or Hannity to talk about the Office of Financial Research.)  His monologue starts at 7:11 in Part 1 and continues through Part 2.

Rashid Khalidi (Barack’s buddy), Ben Bernanke’s continued idiocy, jobless claims are up, adding the public option to Obamacare (why, it’s already in there), and the financial regulation bill brought forward by Dodd and Frank.

On March 21st, the traitors in Congress told the American public to sit down, shut up, and eat gruel like good little revenue streams when they shoved Obamacare across the finish line all the while lying about promising cost savings, lower taxes, deficit neutral mana from heaven, and the winning lottery numbers.  Chairman Zero proceeded to sign Pelosi and Reid’s shameless atrocity into law and before the ink was dry, the Thomas More Law Center had once again stood up for the American People when they filed suit against the federal government on the unconstitutionality of this law.

Obama’s DoJ came back with the commerce clause argument.

Washington — Critics who allege that Congress overstepped the U.S. Constitution by requiring Americans to carry health insurance are “flatly wrong,” the Obama administration said Wednesday in its first court defense of the landmark health care law.

Congress acted well within its power to regulate interstate commerce and to provide for the general welfare, Justice Department lawyers argued in a 46-page brief filed in federal district court in Detroit. For the courts to overturn President Barack Obama’s signature domestic legislation would amount to unwarranted interference with the policymaking authority of Congress, they added.

A few days ago, Bambi and crew realized that the commerce clause two-step was not going to fly so they changed their tune and started using the “Congress can tax” part of the founding documents for cover.

Today the first oral arguments on the Constitutional challenge of this law will be heard in a federal district court by Judge George C. Steeh.

A few of my readers know the mandated health insurance here in Hawaii has caused major problems for patients, doctors, and small businesses (even though the NY Times would like you believe that it is the most wonderful thang since sliced bread).

A few health insurance companies have a monopoly on coverage, employers are required to pay for health insurance for employees working 20 hours or more (so they have many part-time workers to stay afloat), there is no such thing as tort reform, and doctors are leaving the islands (especially the Big Island) because of the high cost of lawsuits and the reimbursement rates are so low.  An added benefit to the health insurance law is that dependents aren’t covered at all; the cost is completely out of pocket to the employee.  I just loved turning all my paychecks back over to my boss to cover my son’s insurance.

Changing Stance, Administration Now Defends Insurance Mandate as a Tax

WASHINGTON — When Congress required most Americans to obtain health insurance or pay a penalty, Democrats denied that they were creating a new tax. But in court, the Obama administration and its allies now defend the requirement as an exercise of the government’s “power to lay and collect taxes.”

And that power, they say, is even more sweeping than the federal power to regulate interstate commerce.

Administration officials say the tax argument is a linchpin of their legal case in defense of the health care overhaul and its individual mandate, now being challenged in court by more than 20 states and several private organizations.

Under the legislation signed by President Obama in March, most Americans will have to maintain “minimum essential coverage” starting in 2014. Many people will be eligible for federal subsidies to help them pay premiums.

When I lost my job last year, my son and I lost our coverage.  I guess it’s not a big deal though, without a job, I couldn’t cover the cost of the flights to Oahu for care.

And then there is Massachusetts’ great idea to provide universal health coverage. Thanks Mitt!

Firms cancel health coverage

With cost rising, small companies turning to state

The relentlessly rising cost of health insurance is prompting some small Massachusetts companies to drop coverage for their workers and encourage them to sign up for state-subsidized care instead, a trend that, some analysts say, could eventually weigh heavily on the state’s already-stressed budget.

Since April 1, the date many insurance contracts are renewed for small businesses, the owners of about 90 small companies terminated their insurance plans with Braintree-based broker Jeff Rich and indicated in a follow-up survey that they were relying on publicly-funded insurance for their employees.

In Sandwich, business consultant Bill Fields said he has been hired by small businesses to enroll about 400 workers in state-subsidized care since April, because the company owners said they could no longer afford to provide coverage. Fields said that is by far the largest number he has handled in such a short time.

“They are giving up out of frustration,’’ Fields said of the employers. “Most of them are very compassionate but they simply can’t afford health insurance any more.’’

Precisely how many small businesses have recently given up offering insurance is hard to pinpoint. The Office of Labor and Workforce Development said the most recent quarterly insurance data collected from small companies has not been compiled.

But insurance brokers say the pace of terminations has picked up considerably since then among small companies, of which there are thousands in Massachusetts. Many of these companies — restaurants, day-care centers, hair salons, and retail shops — typically pay such low wages that their workers qualify for state-subsidized health insurance when their employers drop their plans.

“Those employers are trying to keep their doors open, and to the extent they can cut expenses, they will cut health insurance because they know their people can go to Commonwealth Care,’’ said Mark Gaunya, president of the Massachusetts Association of Health Underwriters, a trade group representing more than 1,000 brokers and other insurance professionals.

And the 40% of the population that doesn’t want to repeal this POS law the first chance we get thought the insurance companies were going to be put in their place….hahahahahahahahaha.

Insurers Push Plans Limiting Patient Choice of Doctors

As the Obama administration begins to enact the new national health care law, the country’s biggest insurers are promoting affordable plans with reduced premiums that require participants to use a narrower selection of doctors or hospitals.

The plans, being tested in places like San Diego, New York and Chicago, are likely to appeal especially to small businesses that already provide insurance to their employees, but are concerned about the ever-spiraling cost of coverage.

But large employers, as well, are starting to show some interest, and insurers and consultants expect that, over time, businesses of all sizes will gravitate toward these plans in an effort to cut costs.

The tradeoff, they say, is that more Americans will be asked to pay higher prices for the privilege of choosing or keeping their own doctors if they are outside the new networks. That could come as a surprise to many who remember the repeated assurances from President Obama and other officials that consumers would retain a variety of health-care choices.

The Breyer-Sotomayor-Ruth Bader Ginsburg dissent urged that Heller be overruled and declared, “In sum, the Framers did not write the Second Amendment in order to protect a private right of armed self defense.”

Contrast that with her Senate testimony: “I understand the individual right fully that the Supreme Court recognized in Heller.” And, “I understand how important the right to bear arms is to many, many Americans.”

Yet her McDonald opinion shows her “understanding” that those many, many Americans are completely wrong to think they have a meaningful individual right.

To the Senate Judiciary Committee, Justice Sotomayor repeatedly averred that Heller is “settled law.” The Associated Press reported that Sen. Mark Udall, Colorado Democrat, “said Sotomayor told him during a private meeting that she considers the 2008 ruling that struck down a Washington, D.C., handgun ban as settled law that would guide her decisions in future cases.”

So by “settled,” she apparently meant “not settled; should be overturned immediately.”

It is my understanding that the Founders did not wish for a standing national army that could be used against “We The People”, and that is why the 2nd Amendment covers militias. I believe the problem comes in the fact that there should have been two amendments; one to cover individual ownership, and one to cover the militia aspect. I do not believe the Founders could have expected the stupidity that we have seen with the ‘interpretation’ of the very narrowly written 2nd Amendment.

Glenn Beck, 6.29.2010: Leveling The Global Playing Field

Glenn covers how Obama believes that the spending spree needs to continue while Europe is having a lucid moment and is attempting to scale back throwing obscene amounts of money at anything that moves.  He also shows that someone very similiar to Obama advised in the ’40’s to do exactly what Obama is proposing; how nobody followed that advice, and how the expected depression never materialized because republicans took control of Congress.

He then takes a maneuver right out of Al Gore’s “Inconvenient Truth” playbook to show the hockey stick graph of GDP growth since the 1800’s (starting in America) compared to the previous 6,000 years of global poverty.

Glenn also covers the possible reason behind Obama’s apparent disrespect for our allies, Britain and Israel, going back to his British grandfather who was brutally tortured by the Brits while Kenya was still a British colony.

I personally say, “let Obama do his worst”, Americans will set aright whatever situation the Merry Marxist and his band subject us to; it’s just a case of how messy is it going to be. Most of us have NEVER seen anything like the power struggle now occurring between the communists and the global elites, but rest assured – there ARE more of us than either of those two factions, AND WE ARE NOW MORE AWAKE THAN EVER BEFORE (just ask Brzezinski – see video below).  Obama has created a “Never Forget” moment for the majority of Americans.

Glenn Beck, 6.24.2010: It’s Cool To Be A Communist (The History Of Communism In America)(UPDATED)

Glenn lays out the history of communism in America including how communists have taken over the educational system and have written the history books so that most of us and our children DO NOT know the real truth of American history.

Glenn plays an audio clip of Ezra Taft Benson on 10.15.1964 of a conversation he had with Nikita Khrushchev about how the communists would take over America by feeding us small doses of socialism until we collapse.  It’s only taken 46 years, but we are there folks.

Mr. HERLONG. Mr. Speaker, Mrs. Patricia Nordman of De Land, Fla., is an ardent and articulate opponent of communism, and until recently published the De Land Courier, which she dedicated to the purpose of alerting the public to the dangers of communism in America.

At Mrs. Nordman’s request, I include in the RECORD, under unanimous consent, the following “Current Communist Goals,” which she identifies as an excerpt from “The Naked Communist,” by Cleon Skousen:

CURRENT COMMUNIST GOALS

1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.

2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.

3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.

4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.

5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.

6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.

7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.

8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev’s promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.

9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.

10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.

11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)

12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.

13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.

14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.

15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

18. Gain control of all student newspapers.

19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.

20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.

21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.

22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.”

23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. “Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art.”

24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a “religious crutch.”

28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”

29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”

31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the “big picture.” Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture–education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.

34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.

35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.

36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.

37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].

39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.

40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use [“]united force[“] to solve economic, political or social problems.

43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.

44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.

45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.
