Institute for Policy Studies Pushing For Obama Executive Orders

World Net Daily is reporting that a Soros funded group, Institute for Policy Studies believes that ‘Progressives Won!’ and because they only lost three members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, they feel justified in writing as many executive orders as possible and ‘pushing’ Obama to do the right thing and sign them now that the blue-dogs have been eliminated.  How’s that for some interesting circular thinking America?  You must want progressive mandates because you didn’t vote Nancy and her anti-Constitutional cohorts out.  Psychotropic drugs anyone?

Buck Up People…Progressives WON!

Dead weight gone. Good Riddance. The blame for the stalemate to come can now fall squarely where it belongs…on the anti-progressive, anti-democratic, anti-populist Republican members of Congress.

Our work is now finally beginning. The veil of a happy Democratic governing majority is finally lifted. We didn’t have it then; We don’t have it now. But what we do have now is a more solidly progressive bunch of Dems in Congress and a president presumably less encumbered by the false illusion that playing nice will get him a date with the other team.

Let’s throw our support unabashedly behind the Congressional Progressive Caucus and let’s push Obama to finally do the right thing through as many Executive Orders as we can present to him.

(Editor’s Note:  Please remember that progressives like Soros and the groups he funds are only one agenda at the table.  They aren’t the only ones playing the game of ‘Divide, Conquer, and Pillage America’.  My money is still on the international central bankers who, in my opinion, are using the left and the far right to do their dirty work.)

Soros group wants Obama to rule by executive order

Organization cites mid-terms, claims progressives registered victory

NEW YORK – It was progressives who won the mid-term elections, particularly incumbents in a socialist-founded congressional caucus that emerged from last week’s ballots virtually unscathed, boasted an article published by the George Soros-funded Institute for Policy Studies, a Marxist-oriented think-tank in Washington, D.C.

The article recommends that President Obama govern from executive order to push through a progressive agenda.

“Progressives won in the 2010 mid-term elections,” wrote Karen Dolan, a fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies, or IPS, and director of the Cities for Progress and Cities for Peace projects based at the radical organization.

“The Congressional Progressive Caucus, the largest caucus in the House Democratic Caucus at over 80 members, emerged virtually unscathed, losing only three members,” she wrote, in the piece published on the IPS website.

“By contrast, the conservative Blue Dog Democratic caucus was more than sliced in half from 54 members to only 26. Further, of the 34 conservative Dems who voted against Obama’s Healthcare Reform, a mere 12 won re-election,” she wrote.

Dolan declared that “our work is now finally beginning.”

“The veil of a happy Democratic governing majority is finally lifted. We didn’t have it then; We don’t have it now. But what we do have now is a more solidly progressive bunch of Dems in Congress and a president presumably less encumbered by the false illusion that playing nice will get him a date with the other team.”

She went on to recommend that progressives “throw our support unabashedly behind the Congressional Progressive Caucus, and let’s push Obama to finally do the right thing through as many Executive Orders as we can present to him.”

WND reported the Congressional Progressive Caucus was founded by the Democratic Socialists of America, or DSA.

Institute for Policy Studies

  • America’s oldest leftwing think tank
  • Has long supported Communist and anti-American causes around the world

The Institute for Policy Studies (IPS) was founded in 1963 as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization with seed money (derived from a fortune made in cosmetics sales under the Faberge trade name) from the Samuel Rubin Foundation. Samuel Rubin (1901-1978) was a Russian Bolshevik and the father of Cora Weiss, who headed the Samuel Rubin Foundation from its inception and is currently the principal financier of IPS. Weiss’ husband, Peter, is Chairman of the IPS Board of Trustees. He is also a member of the National Lawyers Guild and the National Emergency Civil Liberties Committee, both of which were created as Communist Party fronts. The Weisses selected Richard J. Barnet and Marcus Raskin to be the first co-directors of IPS, with the aim of transforming the United States by altering public attitudes, changing laws, and reversing foreign policy through an Academy that reached every nexus of the national nervous system.

America Keeps An Eye On The GOP

The Tea Party saw November From Our Houses, and now America is definitely paying attention.  Hey GOP, don’t go spineless on us because we have a #10 can of whoop ass for you too.

Kudos to Michael Ramirez.

Hawaii Solidifies Its ‘Keep Digging’ Policy

Hawaii Solidifies Its ‘Keep Digging’ Policy

As the rest of the country moves forward with the election of Americans that are willing to face the true depth of the problems we face economically, financially, and globally, Hawaii changed up to a Caterpillar Excavator with a sweeping slate of democrats that leave so much to be desired as to inspire heavy drinking and depression.  The bright side to what appears to be a dismal future is that democrats are on track to totally destroy Hawaii’s economy with higher taxes, bigger government, and new forms of corruption.  Maybe, just maybe (and that’s a really big maybe), the moos might wake up next time around.

Former US representative and ‘Democratic Socialist of America’ Neil Abercrombie was elected as governor with a massive plan for more spending and bigger government.  Mazie Hirono, a rubber stamp for the Obama progressive agenda and stalwart ACORN supporter retained her seat, and if the trend remains stable, she will continue to be elected by the uninformed and entitlement dependent moos until she dies.  Note that 86 year old, Daniel Inouye won re-election again last night, and will be 92 years old when he goes for re-election yet again.  Inouye was a founder of Central Pacific Financial who received $135 million in T.A.R.P. cash after Inouye’s office called bank regulators.  Add to that, Inouye ‘is the chairman of the influential United States Senate Committee on Appropriations‘ and he became President pro tempore of the Senate when skeckzi Robert Byrd finally kicked the bucket.

As President pro tempore of the Senate, Inouye is third in the line of Presidential succession (behind the Vice President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives), and signs all bills that are passed by the Senate, before they are sent to the President of the United States to be signed into law or vetoed.

But here’s the kicker; what most people on the mainland do not understand is that Hawaii became a state in 1959.  Inouye has been a Hawaii senator for 47 of the 51 years that Hawaii has been a state.  How WRONG is that? Has not his 47 year tenure enabled him and his cronies to steer situations for their own profit SINCE THE STATE BECAME A STATE?

Wrong, wrong, wrong…but I digress.

Let’s move onto Colleen Hanabusa, the higher tax loving, freshman congresswoman that does not even live in the district she now represents after defeating Charles Djou last evening.   It also appears that Hanabusa is following in Inouye’s deal-making steps:

Hanabusa and Souza at one time lived in an expensive Ko Olina townhouse bought by Souza from Stone after Hanabusa, a state senator who represents the Leeward Coast, championed a controversial $75 million tax credit for Ko Olina at the Legislature in 2002-2003.

In February 2005, less than two years after Souza bought the home, he sold it for a $421,000 profit, according to real estate records. Souza and Hanabusa, who were engaged at the time and married in 2008, then bought a $1 million home in another Ko Olina subdivision developed by Centex Homes of Texas.

That home, and the Ko Olina Resort, are actually in the 2nd Congressional District and Hanabusa is a candidate in the 1st District. District residency is not a legal requirement, although Hanabusa has said that, if elected, she would move to a new home inside the 1st District.

Now didn’t I say something earlier about stupid, entitlement-dependent moos?

Not every single candidate that won last night is on par with Allen West or Marco Rubio, but the universe’s balance of corrupt politicians and straight-shooters has to be met, and Hawaii is providing almost all of the corrupt quota in one shot.  This will be our historic contribution to the republic; how not to run a state.

It’s obvious that Hawaiians have not yet hit their ‘hopey-changey’ rock bottom moment yet.  They still believe there is a difference between Dems and Pubs, and that the democrats are going to take care of them.  Lalalalalalalalalalalala…

Charles Krauthammer: “Obama Agenda Is Dead”

…and Obama is still in denial. Anybody with half a brain knows that Obama will not move to the center.  That will make the left wing of the Big Government Party very happy and will ensure more trash being taking out in 2012.

MSM Antics: ‘Where Did Obama Go Wrong?’

Yes, put your beverages down before you start this video of Katie Couric asking, “Where did Obama go wrong to really have this happen to him during the midterm elections?” I am wondering if I start taking whatever Katie happens to be on, will I be able to sleep better at night?

More entertainment from the crew over at MSNBC making fun of Michele Bachmann as a person with a sign asking “How’s the tingle Chris?” goes by in the background.

And now for the topper; a Washington Post op-ed.  All emphasis from this point on is to highlight comments.

And now for the next battle

President Obama allowed Republicans to define the terms of the nation’s political argument for the past two years and permitted them to draw battle lines the way they wanted. Neither he nor his party can let that happen again.

Yes, the millions of tea party patriots had absolutely nothing to do with the political argument.

Democrats would be foolish to turn in on themselves in a fruitless battle over whether their troubles owe to a failure to mobilize and excite their base or to win support from the political center. In fact, Democrats held onto moderate voters while losing independents. What hurt them most was this brute fact: Voters younger than 30 made up 18 percent of the electorate in 2008 but only about half that on Tuesday, according to network exit polls. This verdict was rendered by a much older and much more conservative electorate. Yes, there was an enthusiasm gap.

Given this argument, the dems progressives will continue down their progressive yellow brick road while we womp them again in 2 years.

This only underscored that Tuesday’s results mark the beginning of the next round, not the end of the contest. Before the next election – which will be decided by a broader electorate – progressives, including Obama, have to be wiser about the fights they pick, more focused on the country’s economic pain, and as shrewd as their adversaries have been in promoting debates that rally their troops and advance their goals.

I agree that this is by no means the end of the contest; sane, thinking human beings now have to make sure the republicans do the job they were sent to the District of Criminals to do.

Obama was not wrong to fight for health care, to stimulate the economy when it was in deep peril, or to push for financial reform. But by failing to defend these achievements, the president and his allies opened the way for partisan critics, who shifted the conversation to airy language about “big government” and “bailouts.” One result: Only a third of Tuesday’s electorate, exit polls indicated, thought the stimulus had made the economy better.

Only a third think the stimulus made the economy better because they happen to be in the bottom third of the class.  The rest of us unemployed and homeless moos know better.  THE NUMBERS DON’T LIE!

Now Obama needs to offer proposals that advance the common interest and progressive ideals in ways that force Republicans to pay a price for opposing them. The economy still needs far more support, and Obama should take up the old Republican idea of revenue-sharing by offering states large-scale assistance to prevent layoffs and tax increases. This would be welcomed by the many new Republican governors. Will congressional Republicans really want to pick a fight with them?

Ah, there is the strategy; make the Republicans pay the price by using their own party against them and laying traps. More divisive tactics.

Obama should also push forward with an infrastructure bank, which has bipartisan support. There is no better time to rebuild our nation’s crumbling public facilities than when borrowing is cheap. And he should address the decline of American manufacturing, a prime cause of the discontent that roils the Midwest.

For more information on the infrastructure bank and what a lousy, progressive, globalist idea that is, go here.

Sarah Palin’s Thoughts About The GOP Landslide, 11.2.2010

Neil Cavuto interviewing Sarah Palin on Fox Business Network about the elections and the GOP landslide that has occurred. Gov. Palin believes that Obama is not humble enough to come to the middle (no shock there), and that the GOP could be completely destroyed if they don’t take up the mantle of responsibility and act accordingly.

John Boehner: ‘Change Course’, 11.2.2010 (Video)

John Boehner and Michael Steele on election night.  The first four minutes of this video is Megyn Kelly interviewing Michael Steel. Mr. Boehner’s speech starts at 4:50 with the usual ‘change’ rhetoric but it does have a memorable line concerning Barry’s agenda:

The peoples’ priorities will be our priorities, and the peoples’ agenda will be our agenda…While our new majority will server as your voice in the peoples’ house, we must remember it is the president who sets the agenda for our government. The American people have sent an unmistakable message to him tonight, and that message is: Change Course.

Paging Martha Stewart To The White House

Paging Martha Stewart To The White House

What would one expect the President of the United States and Leader Of The Free World to be doing on the day of the biggest election in our lifetimes? Maybe something to do with the election, the economy, unemployment, inflation, world conflict, etc.

Nope, he’s doing a radio interview with the very famous, talented, and totally irrelevant Ryan Seacrest.

Smells like desperation, doesn’t it? This administration absolutely needs to hire Martha Stewart for scheduling and protocol. She might actually get this teenager to understand what is befitting a president and what is not. I, once again, am totally embarrassed by the guy that was installed in the White House in 2008.
