The True Culprit; The MSM

The True Culprit; The MSM

So the current news flash is that Congressman John Lewis of Georgia is making volatile statements about the McCain/Palin ticket in regards to creating hatred and division.  I do not personally know Mr. Lewis, so therefore I cannot attest to his intelligence or stupidity but here is the story from Jonathan Martin, and one would think that any lawmakers with a D attached to their names these days would be very careful with their statements, considering the connections between Fannie, Freddie, Acorn, Obama, and the Dems.

John Lewis, invoking George Wallace, says McCain and Palin ‘playing with fire’

Civil rights icon and Georgia congressman John Lewis is accusing John McCain and Sarah Palin of stoking hate, likening the atmosphere at Republican campaign events to those featuring George Wallace, the segregationist former governor of Alabama and presidential candidate.   McCain’s campaign has responded with a statement in the candidate’s name, urging Barack Obama to repudiate Lewis’s comments.

“What I am seeing reminds me too much of another destructive period in American history,” Lewis said in a statement issued today for Politico’s Arena forum.  “Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin are sowing the seeds of hatred and division, and there is no need for this hostility in our political discourse.”

I would like to inform you Mr. Lewis, the seeds of hatred, loathing and division were sowed back in the primaries with the blatant disregard for truthful reporting and bias by the MSM.  Had the MSM done their job and truthfully reported events and asked the hard questions that Americans want to know the answers to in order to be able to make an informed decision, Barack Obama would not be the Democratic Presidential Candidate.period.

Lewis didn’t accuse McCain of imitating Wallace, but suggested there were similarities.

How could you possibly suggest anything along these lines about John McCain.  The sleeping giant is awake now and we know who is creating the division in our country.  We know that the polling being done is over sampling african americans in order to slant the numbers and the other reason that McCain is trailing in the polls is because he is a gentleman with good manners, and chose not to bring these questions up until now.  He was probably expecting the Media to do their jobs, just like the rest of us earlier in the year.    We all know another presidential primary candidate that waited too long to ask the messy questions; did not matter then though, the MSM ignored it, and then lead the charge in the blatant sexism towards Senator Clinton.  Your comments and innuendos go way over the top Mr. Lewis.  Who is sowing the seeds of division now?

“George Wallace never threw a bomb,” Lewis noted.  “He never fired a gun, but he created the climate and the conditions that encouraged vicious attacks against innocent Americans who were simply trying to exercise their constitutional rights. Because of this atmosphere of hate, four little girls were killed on Sunday morning when a church was bombed in Birmingham, Alabama.”

“As public figures with the power to influence and persuade, Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin are playing with fire, and if they are not careful, that fire will consume us all,” Lewis said today. “They are playing a very dangerous game that disregards the value of the political process and cheapens our entire democracy. We can do better. The American people deserve better.”

I agree, we do deserve better.  Can we have Hillary back now?  The only people playing with fire right now are the Democratic Party for disenfranchising so many democrats with their selected candidate that was not properly vetted by them, and guess who, THE MSM!  The Democratic Party is also in the hot seat for striking down the housing reform bill that John McCain co-sponsored in 2005 that would have reined in Fannie and Freddie, and possibly averted the economic hurricane we are now experiencing.

McCain responded with disappointment, but also a challenge to Obama.

“I am saddened that John Lewis, a man I’ve always admired, would make such a brazen and baseless attack on my character and the character of the thousands of hardworking Americans who come to our events to cheer for the kind of reform that will put America on the right track,” the GOP nominee said in a statement this afternoon.

It has never been okay to call someone a racist, yet anyone that does not support Obama has been called racist by Obama supporters, and guess who, the MSM!  We are so incredibly desensitized to it by now that it just slides off us, like water from a duck’s back.  If one even thinks about questioning Obama about anything, then you are a racist.   Politics of hope and change, or Politics of Division?

He added: “I call on Senator Obama to immediately and personally repudiate these outrageous and divisive comments that are so clearly designed to shut down debate 24 days before the election. Our country must return to the important debate about the path forward for America.”

Obama’s campaign distanced themselves from Lewis’s Wallace language but took a shot at Palin for some of her tough charges of late.

Once again we see the Obama camp “distance” themselves from something, instead of telling their surrogate to apologize, while McCain is actually being a leader and telling his supporters to calm down and be respectful.  Anyone seeing the true leader here?  Please tell me who you think is mature and walking in the light?

Right on the heels of not telling Mr. Lewis that he is way over the line, the Obama camp takes a shot at Governor Palin.  Why do I feel like I am back in high school again? Maybe that is because all the talking  heads I ever see directly attached to the Obama camp were not even born when most of us started voting, i.e. Bill Burton.

The attacks and insults are what happens to people that speak the truth about Obama and Crew.  Politics of hope, change and unity right there at the forefront.

“Senator Obama does not believe that John McCain or his policy criticism is in any way comparable to George Wallace or his segregationist policies,” said Obama spokesman Bill Burton.  “But John Lewis was right to condemn some of the hateful rhetoric that John McCain himself personally rebuked just last night, as well as the baseless and profoundly irresponsible charges from his own running mate that the Democratic nominee for President of the United States ‘pals around with terrorists.’

“Pals around with terrorists” is baseless and profoundly irresponsible?  I and many Americans do not agree!

Is William Ayers an unrepentant domestic terrorist? Yes

Did Barack Obama work with William Ayers on committees and boards? Yes

Did Barack Obama attain his position as Chairman of the Annenberg Challenge with Ayers blessing?  Yes

Did William Ayers throw Barack Obama a fundraiser (in his living room) to kick off his political career? Yes

There is much more research on these two but you get the idea.  So, this would either make Barack Obama incredibly stupid or incredibly un-American.  Which is it? I already know which, but you decide for yourselves.

Only in “Obama World” do one’s associations not matter.  Americans, by and large, will judge a person’s character on who they associate with, and since Obama has almost no record to speak of, except for voting against the American people or voting “present”, we are scrutinizing his character.  Lo and behold, we are not liking what we are seeing, and because the MSM did not vet this candidate earlier in the form of investigative journalism, Americans are becoming more and more vocal about Obama and his un-American associates.

Obama’s camp wants us to play nice while they just roll right over us with their hope and change rhetoric with nothing to back it up.  Barack Obama has underestimated the true patriotic nature of most Americans.  We do not care what color he is; we care about his character and his judgement, and will stand up and speak to those issues. Americans, by their very nature, are brave and will not back down from something they believe in.  PUMAs have been taking a stand against the Obamanation and the MSM, and now the rest of the country is joining us.  The Sleeping Giant was awakened by the Main Stream Media’s incompetence and biased reporting.

May we just lay the blame for the current vocal hostility of so many Americans, Democrats and Republicans alike, right where it needs to go….the MSM?  Was there not a poll a month or so back that said 71% of Americans believe that the Media was slanting the election toward Obama?  Should not Mr. Lewis make a statement apologizing to the McCain/Palin ticket and all Americans for placing the blame for the anger and frustration on John McCain and Sarah Palin?  Should not Mr. Lewis also state that the Main Stream Media, who has been in the tank for Obama, is the true culprit for creating the frustration, anger, and vocal hostility we see now in so many Americans?  There is a reason why Fox News’ ratings continue to grow, and the rest of the MSM’s numbers are tanking.  If a candidate needs the Media to be so biased towards them, is that candidate worthy of the Presidency?

I thought this was America, not a third world country.

Time To Go Outside

Time To Go Outside

Sometimes in the course of a long campaign, one has to stop, take a break, and clear one’s mind.

In this case, it is walking down to the shore to watch amazing athletes compete in the #1 Triathalon in the World. Ironman!

A few of my readers know that I live in Hawaii and with this post everybody who is familiar with Ironman will know where I live. I moved here a few years ago to get away from the craziness of the mainland and so far, it has been refreshing and rewarding, besides being just one damn incredibly beautiful place to live and raise a family.

I will be posting today, but only as a pictorial on the race.   Check back often as I will be adding more pics, (some you would not see in the usual media), to this post.

I hope you enjoy it and it inspires you to get out of the house and just do something!

John McCain can read, write, and usually votes something other than present. John McCain has actually written, and voted on legislation. John and Hillary are real, actual friends. John McCain respects Hillary Clinton and honors her by adopting her ideas to help the American People. John McCain does not say unpatriotic things like “America will never be as great as it once was”, John MCain knows how many states are in the union, and that the Great Lakes are not in Oregon.  John McCain has served his country honorably and is a true hero. John McCain does not associate with questionable folks and does not go to a racist church. John McCain is not a juvenile that flips off his opponent just to make the young crowd happy. John McCain calms the people that are frightened of an Obama Regime and leads with respect for his opponent. John McCain knows the difference between Georgia and Ukraine.  John McCain and Sarah Palin believe in Liberty, Tolerance and Opportunity!

401K Plan: McCain Has It Going On…

401K Plan: McCain Has It Going On…

Last week John McCain came out with the idea to buy up bad mortgages, allow homeowners to get affordable mortgages, and keep homeowners in their homes.  The American public is responding favorably to this idea, go here.  Now John McCain is coming up with another good idea about reforming 401K rules so that seniors do not end up losing what little money they have left after the toilet flushing traders did this week on our financial markets.

According to The Washington Post, The Trail:

McCain Seeks Reform of 401(k) Rules

LA CROSSE, Wis. — Seeking new ways to respond to the frightening economic collapse, Sen. John McCain proposed today that retirees should not be required to cash in the stocks from their retirement accounts when they reach 70-and-a-half years old.

Current rules require that liquidation of 401(k) plans begin when seniors reach that age. But with stocks collapsing, those accounts are worth far less than many of their owners expected them to be. Under the current rules, they would have to sell at a huge loss.

“To spare investors from being forced to sell their stocks at just the time when the market is hurting the most, those rules should be suspended,” McCain said at a rally here.

McCain has said different things about where that money would come from. During the rally, he seemed to indicate that it would come from $700 billion in federal money already identified as part of the overall economic rescue.

“The funds aren’t new, but the priorities will be when we put the financial strength of our government back on the side of working families,” he said.

John McCain is stepping up to the plate with good ideas to help Americans,

and Barack Obama is denouncing McCain for them.

Americans Like McCain’s Mortgage Plan

Americans Like McCain’s Mortgage Plan

So Barack Obama has decided that he does not like John McCain’s plan to buy mortgages and help homeowners stay in their homes.  Guess what?  Americans like it.  According to Rasmussen Reports:

52% Favor McCain’s Mortgage Bailout Plan

A majority of voters (52%) favor John McCain’s plan for the federal government to buy up distressed mortgages and refinance them so homeowners can stay in their homes, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. Thirty-five percent (35%) oppose the plan.

Democrats like McCain’s plan more than Republicans, even though Barack Obama opposes it. Fifty-nine percent (59%) of Democratic voters think it’s a good idea, compared to 47% of Republicans – and 49% of unaffiliated voters.

Seventy percent (70%) of African-American voters favor McCain’s plan, as do 50% of white voters.

….

McCain says his plan, first proposed at Tuesday night’s presidential debate, will cost up to $300 billion, with the money coming out of the recently adopted $700-billion economic rescue plan. Obama says McCain’s plan is bad for taxpayers and benefits irresponsible financial institutions.

On one hand we have Obama’s rhetoric of change with no nuts and bolts plan elements and then we have the McCain/Palin ticket talking about a plan that was first put forward by Hillary Clinton.  We also have John McCain talking about changing the 401k rules so that seniors do not get hammered by this market loss.  (Look for an upcoming post on that).

World Markets: Why Is The Pressure Building?

Ok, I’m going to admit that I am way more than a bit puzzled by something.  I have been watching the implosion of the housing market and credit crunch for 2 years now.  I have been paying attention to how our market has been sickly since last December due to falling home prices and foreclosures rising.  I have been watching and writing post after post about the impending financial meltdown with the wolf outside the door and then inside the living room eating Spot.

I was astounded when the corrupt DNC installed Obama instead of Hillary because she definitely had the knowledge, the plan, and the cajones to turn this around.  I have been watching Bernanke and Paulson make this situation worse, day by day, by coming out and scaring the bejesus out of investors, which in turn tanked our market 7 days in a row, and after the news I just read, tomorrow will be day 8 in the slide.  I have even seen Neil Cavuto say today that our financial leaders need to shut their mouths and stop giving press conferences.  I have been wondering if and when they were going to do that exact same thing since Monday.  Here is what is puzzling me…

From The New York Times:

Asian Markets Plunge on Wall Street Sell-Off

HONG KONG — Stock markets in Asia plunged on Friday as investor sentiment was battered by the overnight rout on Wall Street, confirmation that Singapore has slid into recession and news of a financial-sector bankruptcy in Japan.

Investors were reeling from the overnight developments on Wall Street, where the Dow Jones industrial average plummeted 7.3 percent, or 678 points, closing below the 9,000-mark for the first time since 2003.

In Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 index — already shaken by a nearly 10 percent drop on Wednesdayslumped another 9.6 percent on Friday, closing at 8,276.43.

The country saw its first listed real estate investment trust fail, when New City Residence Investment filed for bankruptcy protection. An unlisted mid-size insurer, Yamato, also filed for bankruptcy.

In South Korea, the Kospi index partially recovered from a 9-percent plunge to close down 4.1 percent, its lowest since 2006.

Elsewhere in the region, the picture was equally grim. Benchmark indices in Hong Kong, Korea, Australia, Singapore and Thailand were all down between 6.5 and 8 percent. Malaysian equities traded down more than 3 percent.

….

Singapore is the first country in the region to fall into recession — defined as two consecutive quarters of contraction — since the global crisis began. Japan is teetering on the brink of recession, prompting the government there to try to pull together an additional economic stimulus package.

As expected, Singapore’s central bank, announced on Thursday a move intended to slow the rise of the currency, intended to support its highly export-dependent economy.

…..

Meanwhile, concerns that a global recession could slow demand for oil have caused prices to plunge to less than $84 per barrel on Thursday. OPEC has signaled it may slash output in support of prices at an emergency meeting of leading oil-producing countries in Vienna on November 18.

Okay, that looks straightforward enough, doesn’t it?  I’m not into wearing tinfoil hats at any time, I actually like to live in the here and now with evidence, but what is happening around the world is way over the line.  Let’s back up for a minute and go thru the recent timeline.

  • Monday, Sept. 15th, the slide really starts and Paulson comes up with the 3 page plan to take over the country financially.  The Congress and our financial leaders twiddle their thumbs for almost two full weeks.
  • Wednesday, Sept. 24th, John McCain suspends his campaign to fly back to Washington to focus on the slide. Barack Obama’s presence is requested by the President in Washington.
  • Thursday, Sept. 25th,  Pelosi and crew come up with the lie that they have a deal and are going to the White House, and eventually embarrass John McCain and assorted Republicans when the dems go for the plan and the republicans say “are you crazy, no way.”
  • Friday, Sept. 26th, McCain and Obama have the debate.
  • Monday, Sept. 29nd, the House votes on the 161 page 700B Bailout package and it goes down in flames after Pelosi’s partisan remarks.  The market drops 778 points.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 1st, the Senate drives thru the next version of the Bailout package (at 451 pages full of pork) and then decides to go home. The Dow closes down 20 points.
  • Thursday, Oct. 2, the House convenes to chat about the Senate package. The Dow closes down 349 points.
  • Friday, Oct. 3, the House votes to enact the Senate’s version of the Bailout package.  The Dow closes down 158 points.
  • Monday, Oct. 6, the Dow closes down 370 points.
  • Tuesday, Oct. 7, the Dow closes down 509 points.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 8, the Dow falls 508 points.
  • Thurday, Oct. 9, the market drops 679 points.
  • Friday, Oct. 10, the asian markets are going down in flames.

The farther we get from the “Rescue Bill”, the worse the markets are doing.  A full two and one half weeks have gone by since our leaders jumped on this problem.  Paulson received control of $700B seven days ago.  The European leaders have been saving banks, cutting interest rates, pumping money into their systems, and the Bank of Japan has put $1 trillion dollars up to insure liquidity in the Asian markets. All of these events are being put in place to relieve the pressure and create a stable platform.  Why then is the pressure building?

Why has the Nikkei dropped 10% on Wednesday and another 9.6% on Friday?  Why are the rest of the asian markets going through the floor?  Why are our banks here in the states not lending money, even though it is plentiful now?

All of this because of the United States housing market and credit crunch?  There is something else going on here.  This has gone way over the line from a “correction” standpoint.  This situation is completely upside-down from where it should be.  Math is math; numbers do not lie.  There is something else driving this right now.  I do not know about you, but I would dearly love to know what that something is.

Obama’s Next “Some Guy I Know” Association

PUMAs have known for months about these questionable associates of Barack Obama, but then again, most of America is just now joining the conversation.  Are you ready for the next Barack Obama “He’s some guy I know” association?

From John Gibson:

One Pissed Off Wisconsin Voter: Sit Down, I’m Not Finished!

I actually had the good fortune of watching this event happen live on Fox and applauded this pissed off American for speaking his mind!  Americans have been fed up with Barack Obama, his questionable associations, his lack of ability to vote yes or no, and his marketed image for a very, very, very long time, but you would never know it by all the MSM coverage of Obama and his sycophants.  We are bombarded with Obama’s opinion of what McCain (and therefore, us) are saying….it’s a distraction because McCain is desperate.  I do not think PUMAs are desperate; we just continue to be blown away by the audacity of Obama & Crew and the MSM.  Has the MSM forgotten they are going to have to live here too under an Obama/Socialist/????  regime?

Finally, a news organization has caught an American standing up and saying what we all feel. Thank You unnamed Wisconsin Voter for speaking your mind and telling McCain and Palin that we are tired of the Dems in Congress, their liberal left agenda, ACORN’s voter fraud, and Obama’s poor judgement.  Does anybody think this is the male version of Harriet Christian?

Fox is reporting that Republican voters are becoming more and more negative and are starting to shout “Traitor” and “Terrorist” about Obama while at McCain rallies.  I think Fox has forgotten the 18 million Hillary voters that believed that at the beginning of the year and have not been receiving any coverage lately.  We’ve just added numerous Democrats in Congress to the traitor list.

The good news according to a friend of mine, “There are too many of us to take us out now”.  I have to agree and watching what is happening, John McCain and Sarah Palin are going to take this election.  Americans are paying attention and guess what, they are calling their families, friends, and neighbors and comparing notes.

Hey Barack, is there some other form of election fixing that we have not yet discovered allowing you your assurance about this election?

Obama Ayers Connection Really Started With Michelle Obama

Obama Ayers Connection Really Started With Michelle Obama

I know that my readers are very savvy, independent thinkers, and that most of you realize that the true participant in the race for the White House is Michelle Obama. You probably believe, as I do, that she is far more dangerous than Barack, and is the driving force behind trading up to the White House.  How many of you agree that Michelle has been planning for this day since she and Barack hooked up, and that every move that has been made was a calculated manuever to reach this point?  How many would agree that Michelle completely believes Black Liberation Theology and is the reason that Reverend Wright and The Trinity United Church were such a big part of their lives and the reason they stayed in that church for over 20 years?  Does anyone believe that Barack Obama does anything that is not approved by Michelle Obama?  If any of my readers can find video of Michelle Obama during Hillary Clinton’s convention speech, please leave a comment.  Michelle Obama cannot hide her feelings about any given subject and telegraphs what she thinks and feels all over her face.  Her reactions during Hillary’s speech have been the most telling.  This is probably the reason we have not seen much of her in the last few months.  But back to the matter at hand….

Will it surprise you to know that she and Bernadette Dohrn were co-workers at the same law firm that Barack eventually joined, and at which Michelle became Barack’s mentor?  Watch the video and make up your own minds.

Greta had an interview with John Murtagh back in May and I, for one, am very glad that this relationship story is finally getting some traction. Mr. Murtagh brings up an interesting point at the end of the video when he speaks about the Atlanta Olympics bomber being in jail and William Ayers walking around free as a bird.
