I.O.U.S.A. Redux

Considering everything that is happening in the financial markets and the frakkin’ global economy and sovereign debt the elitists put in place to ‘stop war’, I thought it might be a good idea to put this video up front and center.  Keep in mind this movie is a few years old, so the numbers are massively smaller in the movie than now.

I.O.U.S.A. – One Nation. Under Debt. In Stress.

Wake up, America! We’re on the brink of a financial meltdown. I.O.U.S.A. boldly examines the rapidly growing national debt and its consequences for the United States and its citizens. Burdened with an ever-expanding government and military, increased international competition, overextended entitlement programs, and debts to foreign countries that are becoming impossible to honor, America must mend its spendthrift ways or face an economic disaster of epic proportions.

    RealClearPolitics – Depression 2010?

    http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2010/05/12/depression_2010_105530.html

Basically, there doesn’t have to be another depression if we do some smart things. The problem is, we’re not that smart so probably won’t. If that’s the case, things will get really bad and THEN the hard choices will be made. Isn’t that always the way? The Obama team loves having crises so it can effect the change they want.

    A simple rule of investing:
Buy when everyone else is panicking.
Sell when everyone else is euphoric.
