I would like to introduce LM readers to Noble Wise, a gentleman from Georgia who will start out on his eight month horseback ride today to meet and inform voters about his mission to flip the entire Congress.  I am assuming that Mr. Wise probably does not know about GOOOH’s mission to place citizen representatives in every seat available in upcoming elections. But I am getting ahead of myself again…

Noble Wise has a website committed to voting out all career politicians as he believes it is the ‘most direct way’ to get a handle on the problem.  What follows is the press release about his trip inviting others to join him, and his thoughts on why the trip came to happen.

Ride Across America, Voter Awareness Campaign

Noble Wise launches voter awareness campaign with 8-month horseback ride across America, beginning March 22 in Austell, Georgia

Frustrated with state of America, man to spread message to “Vote Out Career Politicians” while visiting with as many people as possible before the polls close in November 2010

After spending the past several years watching a decline in the American political system, Noble Wise has decided it’s his duty to stand up and help put the course back on track.

“I have a simple mission,” states Noble Wise. “To ride horseback across this great nation and speak with and encourage other American Patriots to answer a call for action. The American people have never been as angered by career politicians as they are today, and rightfully so. My goal is to suggest to other American Patriots that now is the time to unite as one non-partisan people in order to show our disgust at the polls in November of 2010. Vote against all incumbent politicians regardless of party.”

With the belief that inaction of the American people has allowed corruption and ineffectiveness to become the norm in American politics, Noble believes that voting out all incumbents is the most direct way to fix the system.

“The pros and cons of this answer to the problem are clear,” adds Noble. “The worst negative would be that some good politicians would have to fall to the wayside. We should, however, remember that they have been just as ineffective as the bad ones. Secondly, one could argue that having a Congress full of freshmen would be worse than what we have today, yet I reason the freshmen would not know how to take advantage of us as easily as our current representatives already do.”

“The first positive would be that the power of the majority party would shift to a more conservative legislature, giving the American people a break from this spending spree our Congress has been on. Secondly, the lobbyist and special interest groups would have to start their bribery and such all over, at great expense I hope! Another positive is our representatives would know the people’s power at the polls and would be reminded just exactly whom they work for. But, most importantly, the American people’s faith in the electoral system would be restored and they could see that there is power in unity.”

As Noble makes his way across America, he hopes to spur discussion by talking with as many media outlets and other Americans as he can. With a slow pace of about 20 miles per day, he’ll have plenty of time. He also hopes that other horseback riders, motorcyclists, walkers, and anyone else who can will join him along the way to the streets of D.C. in November.

Noble’s journey begins on March 22 at ThreadMill Mall in Austell, Georgia. More information and a detailed itinerary is available at www.voteoutcareerpoliticians.com or by calling 865-384-8564.

From his ‘About’ page:

My name is Noble Wise and I am an American Patriot.

Mission Statement:
To ride horseback across this great nation and speak with and encourage other American Patriots to answer a call for action. The American people have never been as angered by career politicians as they are today, and rightfully so. Our goal is to suggest to other American Patriots that now is the time to unite as one non-partisan people in order to show our disgust at the polls in November of 2010. Vote against all incumbent politicians regardless of party.

It’s Our Constitution:
Our Founding Fathers were great thinkers and men of vision who created a form of government unique to the world. Our Constitution gives each of us, the people, the freedom to govern our great nation as free men and women. As such, our first amendment right to redress our government has never been more precious than it is in today’s turbulent times. Both political parties have shown reckless disregard for the will of the people to the point that the disconnect is causing an unhealthy fear for the well being of our country. The average working folks of this country, the backbone of America, feel they no longer have a say in their government. Those who feel that taking personal responsibility for their lives today see themselves as being used by an ever-larger group of “special Americans” content on living off of the hard work and taxes of true “American Patriots.” Now is the time our founding fathers spoke of when creating our Constitution— the time when the citizens of this Nation could legally and without bloodshed alter their current government when its leaders stray too far from the basic values and principles of its citizenry. Now is the time to answer this call to action!

It’s all of our’s Country:
The two party system has failed the American people. These days when a career politician is elected they seem only to represent his or her party’s interest in Washington, the heck with the Americans who voted for the other guy. Now is the time for the American people to send a loud and clear message to all of our elected officials— we are fed up with the bickering and the name calling. Tell them we do not care if they are of this party or that party, we want citizen statesmen representing us who will adhere to the Constitution and represent 100% of the people regardless of party affiliation. The best way to send that message is to vote all incumbents out of office in November and continue to do that until they cry UNCLE. Perhaps it is time to send both main political parties home for a few years and try two new political entities. That’s just a suggestion.

It’s my fault:
I’ll admit it, I didn’t take action before. I was too busy, or I told myself there wasn’t really anything I could do about it or maybe I was just too self absorbed with my little world that I didn’t care. The fact is we did not get to this point politically in our country overnight. While there have been countless Americans screaming at the top of their lungs, not enough of us heeded their call to action. Our form of government – like life itself – is a pro-active endurance test, it demands that we actively participate. No longer can we, as true American Patriots, afford to stand on the sidelines and simply say “Someone needs to do something about this.” The truth is that we can always find others to blame for the ills our country suffers today, but we can only blame ourselves for not taking simple actions at the voting booth that may have created solutions. We must become willing to unite in a common cause in order to preserve this Great Union that has given so many blessings to all of us. We suggest the common cause should be to vote all incumbents out of office and therefore restore integrity in our Legislative bodies.

Vote all Incumbents out—The Pros and Cons
One bad apple spoils the barrel they say—seems these days the whole bunch is bad, or should I say, gone mad. In our humble opinion, the pros of voting all incumbents out of office far exceed the cons. The first positive would be that the power of the majority party would shift to a more conservative legislature, giving the American people a break from this spending spree our congressmen have been on. Secondly the lobbyist and special interest groups would have to start their bribery and such all over, at great expense I hope! Another positive is our representatives would know the peoples’ power at the polls and understand better just exactly whom they work for. But, most importantly, the American people’s faith in the electoral system would be restored, they could see that there is power in unity.

The worst negative would be that some good politicians would have to fall to the wayside. We should, however, remember that they were just as ineffective as the bad ones. Secondly, one could argue that having a Congress full of freshmen would be worse than what we have today, yet I reason the freshmen would not know how to take advantage of us as easily as our current representatives already do.

Last, but not least by any means; Get Out Of Our House.  If ever you thought it may be time to stand up and run for office, I’m thinking now IS the time.

What Is GOOOH?

Mission

GOOOH stands for ‘Get Out of Our House’ and is pronounced like the word ‘go’. It is a NON-PARTISAN plan to evict the 435 career politicians in the U.S. House of Representatives and replace them with everyday Americans just like you.

If you are tired of career politicians, GOOOH is for you. If you believe money has corrupted Washington, GOOOH is for you. If you believe politicians have too much power, GOOOH is for you. If you are weary of the death grip the two parties have on our government, and are ready to return control of our government to the people, then GOOOH is for you.

GOOOH is NOT a political party. It is a system that will allow you and your neighbors to choose, among yourselves, the person who can best represent your district. Members will identify a true citizen representative, an Independent candidate, to represent their district. How we get access to the ballot will be dependent on when we reach our membership goal. It is possible we could form a party in a few states as the method for getting on the ballot, but we are not a party in the classic sense: we have no platform and are a bottom-up organization.

GOOOH is an evolving system and your input is requested. The questions are changing based on the feedback of members just like you. Participate in the forums, take the survey, and send us your thoughts. This is YOUR system. We will perfect it with your input.

GOOOH is a new system that will allow “we the people” to select true representatives, not choose between a Democrat and a Republican. If we continue to elect career politicians who represent their party, the special interests that fund them, and themselves, nothing will change. GOOOH is a non-partisan process that will allow us to effect the change we all know we need.

GOOOH will allow you to:

1. Help select your Representative – while being considered yourself
2. Hold your Representative accountable
3. Replace career politicians – with true representatives
4. Take the money out of the process

The GOOOH process allows Americans of every political leaning to participate in the selection of their District’s Representative while being considered themselves. Through GOOOH’s Candidate Selection Sessions you and your peers will select the candidate in your district who best represents your district’s views. Even if you do not wish to become your district’s representative you will want to participate in the process and have a direct say in who is chosen to represent your district. GOOOH will fund a single national campaign to promote the 435 candidates (one from each district) who are selected to run against the party politicians. Because GOOOH is a process for selecting representatives (not a “party”) we expect a person left of center to be selected in San Francisco and one right of center in Colorado Springs — but it will be up to the GOOOH members in each district to decide.

Originally, the founder of GOOOH proposed excluding lawyers, members of political families, and individuals with more than $11.5 million in assets (250 times the median income). They were not to be excluded because they are bad people, but because they are overly represented in government today and, generally speaking, no longer seem to represent the common man. However, based on input from our members, the Question Committee has voted to remove the exclusion of lawyers and the wealthy. Instead, it has been decided that members of these two groups must simply declare that they are a lawyer or have more than $11.5m in assets in each Selection Session in which they participate. It will be up to the participants in each pool to decide whether or not that is of concern. We believe this change is indicative of the continuing evolution of the GOOOH system.

We hope you will join GOOOH today and help us take our House back from the politicians!

For GOOOH to succeed we will need 500,000 participants. We will continue to build our base of supporters until we have the participation we need, at which time we will begin our effort to access the ballot. The rules are different in each state, and the politicians have done a great job of building barriers to prevent competition, but they have left the drawbridge down. In some states, we may be forced to form a party, call it the GOOOH party for now. In states like Washington and Texas that is not presently an option. In some states our candidates may run as Independents. In others we may run as a Republican or Democrat, even competing in the primary if time allows. We may run on some other Party’s ticket, such as the Libertarian Party or the Constitution Party. When we reach our membership goal, the rules in each state and the willingness of established parties to cooperate will help determine how we access the ballot. But one thing is certain: once we get to 500,000 members and begin our push, politicians will find themselves in an extremely difficult position justifying why a GOOOH candidate will not be allowed on the ballot. And remember, 500,000 is just the start. We will soon have five and then fifty million or more supporting GOOOH. How many state representatives are going to want to stand in the way of us getting on the ballot? We look forward to that “discussion.”

Bad Behavior has blocked 2483 access attempts in the last 7 days.
