In keeping with the themes of a ‘deficit of trust’, and a new spirit of bi-partisanship; can someone explain this to me, because you know I have questions.
Mysterious Bush-Bush-Obama meeting at the Oval Office this morning
President Barack Obama hosted a pair of Bushes this morning in the Oval Office: former President George H.W. Bush and his son, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.
The White House described it as a social call, but feel free to speculate. Jeb Bush’s presence was unexpected — the White House hadn’t said anything about him being invited. It’s all very… bipartisan.
The Bushes were at the White House for just over a half-hour, emerging in a driving snow that over the next few hours will blanket the capital with several inches of fluff.
“Good meeting, good meeting,” the elder Bush, 85 and walking with a cane, said in response to a question called out by a reporter.
This may seem like a silly post, but out-of-the-ordinary events, especially Obama meeting with “progressive” GOP operatives, will always make one eyebrow go up. Don’t think Bush 41 is a progressive? What about a ‘New World Order’?

Any chance that visit was meant to send a message to the Republicans in Congress? Since Progressives are a party unto themselves it would make perfect sense that those two would meet, the only real question here is what was Jeb doing there? He was very popular in Florida and has been staying out of the lime light , as far as I can tell. No more Bushes and no more Clintons in the White House.
Kathy, I hear rumblings of Hillary running.
I have heard that also but really can we please just start thinking out of the box. We need new ways not the old , sorry I do not mean to offend any of the Hillary supporters but check her out she is not better than Obama, just been around longer.
Aren’t the “progressive” GOPer’s called NEOCONS? Same as a progressive only on the right. Maybe the Bush’s told to him get a plan and stop blaming them. 🙂
I know George HW Bush’s father was a Liberal I always thought George W Bush took after him.
Well David Brooks would fall into the republican in name only category and the republicans would really like him to stop calling himself a republican.
Imus and Matt Taibbi just discovered they don’t much care for David Brooks. David Brooks is reviled in another corner of the Internet, Matt Taibbi’s True Slant. It was just a matter of time.
Imus and Matt Taibbi Really Don’t Like David Brooks Join The Club.

LOVE YOU ALL and respect your liberties to speculate and
express yourselves.
However, I do believe there are times when we are zero different from the folks we have grown to love to hate
A courtesy call to your one time residence, GEESH there are real problems for us to get excited about.
Sometimes we all go overboard with the conspiracy stuff.
OBAMA is dangerous enough without having to exaggerate a
probably “social visit” we have all done similar things on a smaller
scale.
The train is off the track, we do not need to push it into the ditch.
why waste our time on advancing no there there.
Or are we so desperate for hate adventure, so we exaggerate,
fabricate, distort and that makes us just like the others.
How can anyone say: the GOP folks are as bad as the DEMS
that makes about 75% of this nation bad people I guess.
Turn the page folks and advance all that is good and decent and
yes by all means expose the documented bad.
