Wow, all of us astroturfing fringers aren’t making a difference….Hey Nancy, want to chat with the Monster?
From Politico:
Vic Snyder retiring
Rep. Vic Snyder (D-Ark.) announced tonight that he will be retiring at the end of his term, citing the difficult political environment that he would have faced to win an eighth term in the House.
“2010 will be a robust election year during which great forces collide to set the direction for our country for another two years,” Snyder said in a statement.
“I have concluded that these election-year forces are no match for the persuasive and powerful attraction of our three one-year old boys under the leadership of their three-year old brother, and I have decided not to run for re-election.”
Yep, the Tea Party Movement is just a fringe group with no power, and according to Nancy:
“Republicans are in full-blown ‘spin mode’ attacking the president and claiming he has lost support,” she wrote. “But that is just hype and hyperbole. You and I know better — together we are moving America forward.”
More on Nancy’s continued delusion that it’s astroturf in a later post.
my rep in the house announced his intention not to seek re-election this year. this is a big loss for me. i don’t expect to agree 100% with any rep; however, i was lucky with shadegg and his votes. he definitely supported my second amendment rights…..even if he didn’t know it! i attended a rally and teleconference at his office in phoenix and as per my usual, i open carried. i saw his staff looking at me, so i made a point of thanking each one for supporting my second amendment rights. i also faxed a note to him, commending him on his choice of staff……more than one way to get a point across! i also let them know that the open carry community in arizona would know about this!
in one of his speeches, regarding his retirement from the house, he did reference his disillusionment with the system and the disregard for their oaths to uphold the constitution.
he has repeatedly introduced a bill that would require all proposed legislation to cite the constitutional authority allowing congress to pass said legislation. each time the bill never made it out of committee…….
Would you want to be around in 2010 and be caught in the crossfire of the next 2 years of campaigning? I think he’s probably just worn out now.
i agree…..i do think we will see a number of retirements because of the rampant abuse of power we are witnessing in congress.
there were always deals and back scratching going on; however, now it has reached a new level of corruption. when deals are struck that cost the taxpayers in one region more to cover special benefits for taxpayers in another region, that is going to far. now with the unions special deal….it is outrageous!!!
Almost all of these crooks know what’s coming down the track, and they don’t want to be hit by that train when it comes, so they are “getting while the gettings good”.
I have referenced and quoted you in my new article!! Wonderful site!!
