Obama Administration Cancels No-Bid Contract To Dem Donor

If you think you are not making ‘the change happen’, check out the video and story.  America is awake, and it appears Obama got caught in another lie.
U.S. Cancels No-Bid Contract for Afghan Work Given to Democratic Donor

The U.S. canceled a $25 million federal contract for work in Afghanistan — awarded without entertaining competitive bids — to a company owned by a Democratic campaign contributor.

The U.S. has canceled a $25 million federal contract for work in Afghanistan awarded to a company owned by a Democratic campaign contributor who did not face competitive bids.

The cancellation comes after Fox News first reported on the details of the contract last week, prompting lawmakers to make inquiries into the deal.

State Department Spokesman P.J. Crowley said that USAID terminated the award and is now working on an appropriate resolution.

“If you want to say this violates the basis on which this administration came into office and campaigned, fair enough,” Crowley told Fox News.

The contract had been awarded on Jan. 4 to Checchi & Company Consulting, a Washington-based firm owned by economist and Democratic donor Vincent V. Checchi that was hired to provide “rule of law stabilization services” in war-torn Afghanistan.

A synopsis of the contract published on the USAID Web site said Checchi & Company would “train the next generation of legal professionals” throughout the Afghan provinces and thereby “develop the capacity of Afghanistan’s justice system to be accessible, reliable, and fair.”

The legality of the arrangement as a “sole source,” or no-bid, contract was made possible by virtue of a waiver signed by the USAID administrator.

When Checchi  was contacted by Fox News for its earlier report, he confirmed that his company had indeed received the nearly $25 million contract but declined to say why it had been awarded on a no-bid basis, referring a reporter to USAID.

Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., the ranking Republican on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, told Fox News the no-bid contract in this case “disturbed” him.

Issa had written to USAID Administrator Rajiv Shah requesting that the agency “produce all documents related to the Checchi contract” on or before Feb. 5. Citing the waiver that enabled USAID to award the contract on a no-bid basis, Issa noted that the exemption was intended to speed up the provision of services in a crisis environment.

Federal campaign records show Checchi has been a frequent contributor to liberal and Democratic causes and candidates in recent years, including to Obama’s presidential campaign. The records show Checchi has given at least $4,400 to Obama dating back to March 2007, close to the maximum amount allowed.

John Boehner: Healthcare Is Not Dead

I know we have numerous issues to keep an eye on including the new $3.8 Trillion budget coming out, but ‘zombie’ healthcare is NOT DEAD yet, and we must keep one eye on congressional dems and RINOs.  The fascist healthcare reform bill being put forward must not be allowed to pass.

…and my favorite Chicago Hack, David Axelrod:

AYFKM? $3.8 TRILLION BUDGET? The Chaos Continues

AYFKM? $3.8 TRILLION BUDGET? The Chaos Continues

Congress just raised the debt ceiling almost $2 Trillion to somewhere around $14.4 TRILLION.  Barack Obama is about to “unveil” his 2011 budget.  No surprise that it is another $3,800,000,000,000.00 ($3.8 Trillion), because this ZERO just loves looking at himself.  My head is about to explode from the recklessness and chaos coming out of the Executive Branch.  ARE YOU FREAKIN KIDDING ME?

Obama Offers Budget With Deficits as Far as Number-Crunchers Can See

As President Obama prepares to unveil his $3.8 trillion budget for fiscal year 2011, which begins Oct. 1, the White House is projecting the current fiscal year will end with a $1.6 trillion deficit, congressional sources confirmed to Fox News.

Next year’s budget will have a nearly $1.3 trillion debt, according to those sources, dropping to just over half that — $700 billion in fiscal year 2013 — before jumping back up to $1 trillion in 2020, the furthest out that budgeters will predict.

A $1.6 trillion deficit would represent more than 10 percent of the gross domestic product, but the White House says over the next 10 years, the average deficit will represent only 4.5 percent of GDP annually. Last year’s deficit was $1.42 trillion.

The numbers come as the president and congressional Democrats have pivoted from preparing a $1 trillion health care proposal to focusing on jobs and the deficit. Speaking at the State of the Union last week, Obama told a joint session of Congress that he wants to freeze spending — beginning in 2012 — on discretionary spending except the military, veterans and homeland security. The president said that would save $250 billion over 10 years.

“There’s a three-year discretionary spending freeze and that is to say there is a three-year cap on domestic discretionary spending,” said Obama senior adviser David Axelrod on CNN. “Within that cap we’re going to have to prioritize just like every business or every family would, so we’re going to have to do away with the things that we don’t need in order to pay for the things that we do.”

Too bad David, the Chicago Hack, does not give the whole story.

Steven Moore with Greta – ‘On The Record” – 1.26.2010

I am happy to hear that we are finally going to get some discipline on spending, but Greta, remember, these programs that he is talking about freezing for three years, over the last 18 months, the average increase in spending for these agencies has been over 50%.  So even if you freeze their spending for 3 years, they are so ahead of the game because they got huge appropriations last year and the year before, and on top of that, they got that massive amount of stimulus spending.

Let’s get back to the leaderless government.

“We don’t expect this is going to be easy,” Fox Business Network reported White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer saying. Pfeiffer added that the White House proposed cuts last year but Congress funded programs anyway.

But keeping budget deficits where they are currently projected will happen only if tax cuts passed in 2001 and 2003 expire as scheduled at the end of this year. The White House calculates tax hikes would generate $1.2 trillion in revenue over 10 years.

“We just did an 84 percent increase in a very short period of time of all this new spending. Democrats, since they took over Congress, increased domestic discretionary spending by $1.4 trillion,” Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., said on “Fox News Sunday.”

“We don’t think taking all this money out of the private economy up to Washington and spending it through Washington is the way to create jobs. We believe we should keep that money in the economy,” Ryan added.

Congressional sources say Obama’s new budget will propose extending the popular middle-class tax breaks of $400 per individual and $800 per couple through 2011. They were due to expire after this year.

What good does this bribe do when one is unemployed or facing imminent unemployment because the company you work for is going under due to policies being implemented by the OBAMA CHAOS ADMINISTRATION?

(Editor’s note: I am desperately trying to find a clip from Greta and Steve Moore in the last week talking about Congress raising the debt ceiling. 1.28 or 1.29.2010  If anyone has this clip, please let me know in comments or on the contact page.  Very Important!)

Union Boss: Card Check And Healthcare in 2010

Union Boss: Card Check And Healthcare in 2010

And you thought Congress was maybe the branch of government to write and pass laws.  Right now, it looks to be a toss up between Andy Stern, the Apollo Alliance, and Richard Trumka, President of the AFL-CIO.

Another fine ‘how-do-you-do’, as the CHAOS continues inside our government.  Smart Americans know what to expect next when the country becomes rudderless – look to history and Jimmy Carter.

Union leader: ‘Card check’ will pass in 2010

Congress will move to pass controversial “card check” legislation this year, AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka predicted Sunday.

Trumka said that lawmakers would pass the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA) as well as healthcare reform this year, despite Republicans having picked up enough votes in the Senate to sustain a filibuster.

“I think we’ll get health care done and I think we’ll get labor law reform done before the year’s up,” Trumka said during an appearance on CNN.

I personally believe that the EFCA is as dangerous to the republic as Obamacare’s fascist mandate, bureaucrats standing between you and your doctor, the penalties, and the access the government has to your bank account.

“The Employee Free Choice Act, John, is not just good for unions; it’s good for the economy because it will bring more money into people’s pockets across the board, so that everybody can spend a little more and create an economy that really does work for everybody,” Trumka said. “And that’s where we’re going to go to.”

This proposed law will only continue the ponzi scheme of union legacy costs which at some point will collapse just as Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security are destined to.

Senate Democrats had reportedly been working on crafting a compromise version of the “card check” bill in order to get 60 votes in the upper chamber. But with Republicans’ 41-vote bloc and a competitive election cycle for Democrats expected this fall, it’s not clear what path EFCA faces going forward.

I freakin’ detest liars, thieves, and the squatters in the District of Criminals.

SHOCK: TARP Is Not Delivering

SHOCK: TARP Is Not Delivering

Excuse me while I heave into the bucket that is now stationed next to my desk.  Neil Barofsky, the inspector general for TARP, in his latest report, states that a TARP program for small business lending (March 2009) has not yet been implemented.  Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Award to the Treasury and TurboTax Timmie anyone?

TARP ain’t getting the job done? I would be laughing my a** off if this situation wasn’t so tragically disastrous to the entire nation and our childrens’ futures.

The next question would be: Who are the stupid Americans?  The Elites or the Tea Party Patriots that were against ALL of these programs because we knew it wasn’t going to help average Americans keep their jobs, homes, savings…

Report: TARP benefits have fallen far short

The $700 billion bailout program for the financial industry has so far done little to boost bank lending, aid small businesses or reduce home foreclosures, a top government watchdog said in a report.

Neil Barofsky, the special inspector general over the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), said in a report that while the bailout has helped stabilize the financial system, many of the program’s original goals have not been met.

“Lending continues to decrease, month after month, and the TARP program designed specifically to address small-business lending — announced in March 2009 — has still not been implemented by Treasury,” Barofsky wrote in the report. “The TARP foreclosure prevention program has only permanently modified a small fraction of eligible mortgages, and unemployment is the highest it has been in a generation.” (Editor’s note: AYFKM?)

The Obama administration is urging Congress to pass an additional fiscal stimulus measure, or “jobs bill,” early this year to help bolster the economy. Lawmakers are anxious about the economy weighed down from 10 percent unemployment and ongoing weakness in the housing market.

This is a perfect representation of why Americans are mired in the indecision about whether the elites are doing this on purpose, or if they are just plain stupider than 75% of the country.  I’m voting for the former, and looking for outsiders to run against the District of Criminals’ squatters.  Besides, if they are stupider than average Americans, why are they in office?  Once again, Too Stupid or Too Dangerous?

Organizing For America: High School Indoctrination

Organizing For America: High School Indoctrination

OFA Internship Application

Obama’s former campaign team which morphed into Organizing For America is now inside your child’s high school. Atlas Shrugs hits a homerun breaking a much more serious indoctrination move by the progressive socialists.

ATLAS EXCLUSIVE: Obama Organizing in High School

An Atlas reader, Chuck,  has a student in the eleventh grade in an Ohio High School. Her government class passed out this propaganda recruiting paper so students could sign up as interns for Obama’s Organizing for America (OFA is the former mybarackobama.com site.)

Obama is using our public school system to recruit for his Alinsky-inspired private army. Organizing for America is (and I quote) recruiting in our high schools to “build on the movement that elected President Obama by empowering students across the country to help us bring about our agenda” …………of national socialism.

The Ohio High School is Perry Local in Massillon, Ohio.

This is incredible. And evil. Suffer the little children — enlisted like SS youth. This is no accident. Obama is poisoning our public school system. He acts as if it’s his own private breeding farm. Once again academic learning  and achievement is hopelessly abandoned, and supplanted by radical leftist activism from the leftwing Alinksy inculcators in the perversepublic school system.

Children must be advised to expose this ugly propaganda. Children must tell their parents how they are being used and manipulated. Parents, warn your kids. Better yet, home school.

I am not going to be so rude as to reprint Pam’s entire piece, so definitely go over and check out the “recommended reading list” and the rest of the article.  Then talk to your children…

G. Edward Griffin: Carroll Quigley And The New World Order

G. Edward Griffin: Carroll Quigley And The New World Order

My readers know that I believe G. Edward Griffin to be a natural treasure because of his research on the shadow chess players, the New World Order, and their view of the unwashed, stupid American masses.  Mr. Griffin has done a lecture on Carroll Quigley who in actuality was the historian of a secret society. You can take your tinfoil hats off because these is real and true.  Also, this particular lecture is in 8 parts, so get comfy.  Mr. Griffin does a summary starting with Cecil Rhodes, and then reads from Quigley’s books to prove he isn’t talking out of his hat.

Carroll Quigley

Carroll Quigley (November 9, 1910 – January 3, 1977) was a noted historian, polymath, and theorist of the evolution of civilizations.

Quigley was born in Boston, and attended Harvard University, where he studied history and earned B.A, M.A., and Ph.D. degrees. He taught at Princeton University, and then at Harvard, and then at the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University from 1941 to 1976.[1]

From 1941 until 1969, he taught a two-semester course at Georgetown on the development of civilizations. According to the obituary in the Washington Star, many alumni of Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service asserted that this was “the most influential course in their undergraduate careers”.[2]

In addition to his academic work, Quigley served as a consultant to the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Navy, the Smithsonian Institution, and the House Select Committee on Astronautics and Space Exploration in the 1950s.[3] Quigley served as a book reviewer for the Washington Star and was a contributor and editorial board member of Current History.[4] His work emphasized “inclusive diversity” as a value of Western Civilization long before diversity became commonplace, and he denounced Platonic doctrines as an especially pernicious deviation from this ideal, preferring the pluralism of Thomas Aquinas.[citation needed] Quigley said of himself that he was a conservative defending the liberal tradition of the West. He was an early and fierce critic of the Vietnam War,[citation needed] and he was against the activities of the military-industrial complex which he saw as the future downfall of the country.[citation needed]

Quigley retired from Georgetown in June, 1976, and died the following year.[5]

Influence on Bill Clinton

In his freshman year in the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown, future U.S. President Bill Clinton took Quigley’s course, receiving a ‘B’ as his final grade in both semesters.[6]

Clinton named Quigley as an important influence on his aspirations and political philosophy in 1991, when launching his presidential campaign in a speech at Georgetown.[7] He also mentioned Quigley again during his acceptance speech to the 1992 Democratic National Convention, as follows:

As a teenager, I heard John Kennedy’s summons to citizenship. And then, as a student at Georgetown, I heard that call clarified by a professor named Carroll Quigley, who said to us that America was the greatest Nation in history because our people had always believed in two things–that tomorrow can be better than today and that every one of us has a personal moral responsibility to make it so.[8]

Quigley and secret societies

One distinctive feature of Quigley’s historical writings was his assertion that secret societies have played a significant role in recent world history. Although this topic was not the primary focus of most of Quigley’s works, his writing on this topic has made Quigley famous among many who believe in conspiracy theories.[9] Quigley’s views are particularly notable because the majority of reputable academic historians profess skepticism about conspiracy theories.[10]

Obama Meeting With Bushes

Obama Meeting With Bushes

In keeping with the themes of a ‘deficit of trust’, and a new spirit of bi-partisanship; can someone explain this to me, because you know I have questions.

Mysterious Bush-Bush-Obama meeting at the Oval Office this morning

President Barack Obama hosted a pair of Bushes this morning in the Oval Office: former President George H.W. Bush and his son, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.

The White House described it as a social call, but feel free to speculate. Jeb Bush’s presence was unexpected — the White House hadn’t said anything about him being invited. It’s all very… bipartisan.

The Bushes were at the White House for just over a half-hour, emerging in a driving snow that over the next few hours will blanket the capital with several inches of fluff.

“Good meeting, good meeting,” the elder Bush, 85 and walking with a cane, said in response to a question called out by a reporter.

This may seem like a silly post, but out-of-the-ordinary events, especially Obama meeting with “progressive” GOP operatives, will always make one eyebrow go up.   Don’t think Bush 41 is a progressive?  What about a ‘New World Order’?
