Specifically Section 3201G, of the Reid bill, buried deep in the bill on Page 894, has a $5 Billion provision drafted to prevent the drastic cuts in Medicare Advantage Program from impacting those enrollees that preside primarily in 3 counties in Florida; Broward, Miami Dade, and Palm Beach.

I live in Palm Beach county it mostly votes Dem as does Broward and Miami-Dade, this is not something that he has to do for votes.
If I had to look for another motive I would say that he is trying to get people to relocate in these counties, there is a very high rate of houses in trouble in South Florida, much higher than the national average, maybe he has real estate he is trying to dump.
This would be one of the reasons I love having a blog and being able to talk to people all over the country!!!

I live in Fort Myers Beach, FL (in Lee County on the SW part of Florida on the Gulf of Mexico) Senator Bill Nelson is a “nose stuck in the axx of Obama” liberal socialist radical progressive. He has no credibility to be a Senator other than he went up in the shuttle a few years ago, which he thinks makes him “space flight expert”, when in reality he is a “space head”. He is protecting his turf only for vote purposes. He’s terrified to come to the Conservative side of the state as he’s such a looser. Vote him out or put him down.
