Senate Finance Committee members have been notified that the committee’s health reform bill was filed today. S. 1796 weighs in at 1,502 pages, according to a Senate Republican leadership source. It’s still not up yet on the Finance Committee website or Thomas.gov. We’ll post a link as soon as we get one.
Betty – I believe that until the trip to DC for the March on 9.12. Take it from me – the piggies are so insulated that they have no IDEA what is going on out here and they did nothing but look down their noses at their employers. I was blown away at the unmitigated contempt they had for regular working class joes and janes when we met them on the street. The most eye-opening moment was when I was standing in front of the Grand Hyatt waiting for the Tea Party Express buses and insiders were walking down the street with their mouths hanging opening at the crowds waiting for the buses.

I scanned the PDF… starting to look at it in more detail… although this will change. But, just looking at the table of contents… this can only be summarized as a complete takeover of the health industry.
This whole statement by people that there will be no public option is correct… it is not an option, because the whole thing is government-run… there is no “option” about it.

Health care is the keystone in the arch of socialism. Once THEY get their hands on this facet of our lives, we are almost done for. Once THEY give our sovereignty over to the UN, we ARE done for.
Americans, we have to realize the truth. The government DOES NOT WORK FOR YOU! That is an illusion that has been maintained to keep us sedated. The government is a foreign owned corporation, the President is the CEO, and the Congress is the Board of Directors. THEY have a fiduciary duty to the corporation, and all responsibility they have to you is non existent. Elections are done by computers now and have no way to recount. How else do yo think that the same idiots keep getting elected. Stalin said, “The voters never decide anything, those that count the votes decide everything”.
America has the highest percentage of citizens in prison in the world. More than China or Russia. Our civilians are searched more often, tracked, bugged, photographed, and arrested more than any other country. We live in a police state. This new “Health Care” is nothing more than another law to use to put people in jail that refuse to participate in paying off the extortionist government, or can not afford to, buy the extorted insurance or pay the fine.
DT- Don’t waste too much time sweating over this 1,500 page monstrosity of fiction, this will end up being merged with the House version, and God only knows what the FINAL bill will end up saying.

Harry Reid is planning on having a “Stealth Health Care Bill” ready to be voted on before the end of this month. Nobody will see it until the last minute and the deadline will be almost immediately after they see it. No time to read it or discuss it. Is this communo-facism or what? There is an event planned for Oct. 27th by Patriotic Resistance. They are asking for 60 people to go to DC on that day and hand deliver petitions to the congress members’ offices. They want more people than that to go but 60 to deliver the petitions. I signed up since I live fairly close. You can also schedule meetings with your reps and senators. Don’t know if it will do any good, but we don’t have any choice but to try everything we can think of to try.If you live anywhere close to DC and want to take part go to Resistnet.com.

Question: When reading this Health Bill, do I understand correctly that Active Military, Veterans and Disabled Vets have to pay for their medical plans?
