Smells Like Buyers’ Remorse

This is one of those situations where I will never get over saying “We Told You So!”.  I know, it’s cold and manner-less, but considering the devastation that has been wrought on our economy, society, and our childrens’ future – it’s the only comfort most of us have right now.  The political class in this country has to be reined in because their judgment leaves quite a bit to be desired.

Gergen: Mr. President, take command

(CNN) — Enough is enough! After the latest failure by BP to plug the gaping hole, it is time for President Obama to take full command of this growing national catastrophe. Immediately!

The president in his press conference this past Thursday assured the nation that he and his administration were already in charge and he has manfully taken personal responsibility — “the buck stops here,” he said, echoing Harry Truman. Well, it may be true that BP has been acting all along under the oversight of the federal government, but that supervision has been loose and ineffective.

To the world, it has been apparent that the government has been riding shotgun and BP has been at the wheel. It’s time for the White House to get in the driver’s seat and get us to safety — fast.

Meanwhile, no longer is the Exalted One seeing dead servicemen in the audience, he wants to commemorate our fallen soldiers through ‘deeds’. Time to put the pipe down, Mr. pResident.

Do you think Mr. Gergen over at CNN is feeling better or worse now?

Obama urges nation to honor Memorial Day through ‘deeds’

(Editor’s Note: “Or How To Really Upset The Military By Not Visiting Arlington Cemetery.  This must be more of that hopey-changey sh**.)

President Obama called Saturday for Americans to honor their countrymen who have died in war, saying that Memorial Day should be marked by “doing our part for the loved ones our fallen heroes have left behind and looking after our military families.”

In his weekly radio and Internet address, Obama said, “We are called to honor their ultimate sacrifice with more than words. We are called to honor them with deeds.”

“By making sure the men and women serving this country around the world have the support they need to achieve their missions and come home safely,” he said. “By making sure veterans have the care and assistance they need. In short, by serving all those who have ever worn the uniform of this country – and their families – as well as they have served us.”

Obama is spending the holiday weekend in Chicago, his home town, and will visit the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery on Memorial Day.

But some critics, most of them politically conservative, have complained that he is not visiting Arlington National Cemetery, the traditional focal point for Memorial Day events. He did so last year.

Here’s a question; are they moving the Capitol to Chicago?

  1. He has nothing but contempt for the military, and the Veterans, but I for one am glad that he didn’t show up at Arlington. At least those honorable service members buried there wouldn’t be rolling over in their graves with him standing there. He is the Imposter-in-Chief, and he is NOT welcomed on such hollowed ground!

  2. Word has it now that obongo and his buddies are looking to take over BP, lock, stock, and barrel..Seize the Company, fire the CEO and install one of his czar flunkys, and drain their sizeable bank account..BP stock has already taken an 16% dive……obongos Military Rules of Engagement are getting Service Men and Women Killed..It’s obvious that he hates the Military….These constant missteps by obongo & Co. are either total incompetence or deliberate calculations to Destroy this Country….Neither of which is good for US..Reportedly he has the largest Security Detail when he visits Military Bases etc, then any Pres. before him..Hmmm….Funny thing about it is that with his background, he couldn’t pass a FBI Background Check to be a Bodyguard for himself….worthless bastard son of a common communist Kansan Whore….
