It will be necessary for travel, employment, banking, health care, every aspect of your life. Also will the border patrol set up desert ID check stations to stop illegal aliens who don’t have an Obama issued ID?

At some later date they will require a national firearms registry with felony level penalties for failure to list your firearms for confiscation at their convenience. Stock up ammunition while you can. Military calibre weapons (.223 or the nato standard 7.62) are to be desired because the ammo is nearly universally available. Having no ammo reduces that firearm to use as a club. If a civil war becomes necessary, a 12 guage shotgun is a very nice close combat weapon. Not every cop, national guardsman, soldier will be with the neo-coms. Many have taken the Oath Keepers pledge to uphold the US Constitution, the document the neo-coms are trashing.
