Today’s AYFKM? Why National Security Is A Joke

Today’s AYFKM? Award goes to whatever intelligence moronic agency or agencies that compiles the no-fly list.  This definitely falls under the category of keeping on eye on Americans vs. catching terrorists.  Hasn’t the Patriot Act that was passed without being read because of a rather convenient anthrax attack a freakin’ God-send?  Don’t you feel safer?

In the category of “I can’t believe I’m asking these questions”, how long does it take to get a baby’s name off the no fly-list, and why is it necessary to frisk an eight year old boy?  This is not about stupidity, this is about big brother.  I hope that everybody continues to pay attention to what this 8 year old boy scout is doing, and y’all stop worrying about those jihadist training camps in New York state.

Scout, 8, mistaken for suspect on US no-fly list frisked at airports

An eight-year-old boy scout has been repeatedly frisked at airports in America because he has the same name as a person on a security watch list.

Michael Winston Hicks, from New Jersey, was first singled out as a baby when his mother tried to get him on a flight in Florida. She was told by airline officials that her son’s name “was on the list”.

As a two-year-old the boy, who is known as Mikey, was patted down by security officers at Newark Airport, which reduced him to tears.

His name appears to be among 13,500 on the “selectee” list, which sets off a high level of security screening, after a man called Michael Hicks at some point triggered suspicion.

It is not on the much smaller no-fly list which has about 2,500 names, mostly of non-US citizens.

His mother, Najlah Feanny Hicks, a photojournalist, told the New York Times that Mikey was badly shaken returning from their recent holiday to the Bahamas when he was aggressively frisked re-entering the US.

“A terrorist can blow his underwear up and they don’t catch him,” she told the newspaper. “But my eight-year-old can’t walk through security without being frisked.

“I understand the need for security but this is ridiculous.”

Well, hells bells! We gotta keep an eye on all those boy scouts, after all aren’t they being trained as domestic terrorist who end up going into the military? Janet Incompentano probably thinks the Boy Scouts are one of the biggest threats to this country. I know they are! I’ve been one since 1967, and I’ve been labeled a threat to the country!

    • You and the Spousal Unit Sarge. Yep, we must be domestic terrorists since we are following in the footsteps of the original domestic terrorists – the Founding Fathers.

Keep you chin up! We Need You!

How hard would it be to have some kind of physical description to go with the names on the no fly list? Certainly names are not drawn out of a hat , someone must be able to give some kind of description to go along with the names.

And this is the same Federal Government that wants to trust us with our health care….
Stossel, I believe, in one of his books pointed out that the gov’t screeners routinely missed nearly 70% of test objects snuck thru screening. Interestingly enough, in the 2 or 3 airports (privately owned) that hire their own screeners, the same test objects are missed something like less than 10% of the time. I’m not sure of the numbers, but he talks about it in his book “Give Me A Break.”

Hmmm… speaking of intelligence, I landed this site after googling “raytheon big brother” yet am a bit confused as there was an error in the page. The google result title was Big Brother-Logistics Monster for the page logisticsmonster.com/category/big-brother. The description: “For months I have been wondering why the “executive office of Raytheon” keeps checking in on the Monster….”
I dug around a bit on here and definitely like what I ‘ve read, but still am very curious about that particular article.

A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine.

~Pres. Thomas Jefferson~
"The country is headed toward a single and splendid government of an aristocracy founded on banking institutions and moneyed incorporations and if this tendency continues it will be the end of freedom and democracy, the few will be ruling...I hope we shall...crush in its birth the aristocracy of our moneyed corporations which dare already to challenge our government to trial and bid defiance to the laws of our country.  I sincerely believe that banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies."
