Ron - good to see you! Yes, I believed the science as presented too, but had to wonder about carbon emission credits that would not lessen pollution, just put a price on it. Unbelievable scams they have running now-a-days.

I hope heads roll and perp-walks become a daily occurence.

Prior to 2008, I was a supporter of Gore's efforts to inform the public about the dangers of AGW. Since then, the blinders have come off. Politics and ideology should not have any impact on science but it does. It's all too easy to massage the data and have it come out any way you want. The public is clueless and will believe anything you want them to believe if most people can be convinced to believe the same thing. We long ago lost investigative news sources. It's all about manipulating the masses for some agenda so you can get the money and the power to do as you please. In a Republic, the politicians are supposed to do as the people please. What happened?

There's nothing wrong with trying to have clean skies and having clean, fresh air to breath. I remember the bad old days before catalytic converters when it was no fun driving in rush hour traffic in a car without air conditioning. Energy efficiency is a good thing because it makes good sense and saves money. Cap and trade, though, makes no sense because it can ruin an economy and will do very little to lessen carbon emissions. Besides, the human impact on global temperatures is very small. If there's a warming trend, it's natural. Spending trillions of dollars on carbon reduction is foolish, to say the least.

I'm glad this ClimateGate thing is gaining traction. Let's hope it has an impact on what Congress does.
